Joe Rogan has always vociferously advocated a healthy lifestyle. The millionaire host of JRE is also an avid fitness enthusiast who partakes in challenges like Sober October. Rogan often posts updates about his workouts on social media and encourages his followers to do the same. Therefore, he has little to no tolerance for those who preach unhealthy lifestyle choices. On a recent episode of The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan called out a university for its approach to nutrition.

In episode #1905 of JRE, Rogan hosted popular YouTuber Derek from ‘More Plates More Dates.’ During their conversation, Derek mentioned how a university in Canada removed nutritional information from their canteen menu. The reasons behind it did not sit well with Rogan, who verbally dismantled those that worked behind it.
Joe Rogan calls out ‘fat professors’
Derek told Rogan that the university removed all the nutritional information about the food the students got from their meal plan. He added that their reason for doing so was that “it was too triggering to show the calories.” The institution in question is the University of British Columbia, which issued a document regarding the same.
In response to Derek, Rogan recollected watching a video where a ‘fat professor’ preached something similar. He said the female professor was “talking about [how] avoiding certain foods is just ‘fatphobic’ and ‘it’s not based in science.'” He added that the woman said, “you shouldn’t deny yourself donuts” and “to call some food ‘junk food’ is incorrect.”
“F**k off, fat professors, f**k off, you guys are unhealthy, it’s not in any way good,” the millionaire podcast host said.
Rogan also remembered how the video outraged nutritionists. He added, “It’s the same kind of outrage that you should have at them thinking that it’s triggering to have actual data on the food you’re eating… It doesn’t mean anybody should tell you what you should or shouldn’t do, but you should know.”
The BJJ black belt agreed with Derek that it was your problem if it triggered you. He also outlined a larger problem that arises out of measures like these.

Joe Rogan slammed UBC’s decision to remove nutritional information from menus. He also dismissed the claims of the professor from the video. The former Fear Factor host also listed the consequences of such measures.
“They’re raising the most non-resilient people possibly known to man, where every single micro-aggression, every single thing that can trigger you, all those are removed, and you are just raw and vulnerable. We’ll protect you in this university system and then spit you out into the world where you will then infect corporations with this ideology — and that is what we’re experiencing.”
Responding to Rogan, Derek observed how this shift to the ‘comfort mentality’ had become so commonplace. He suggested it might be the reason behind the drop in men’s testosterone levels. The fitness guru also spoke out against how it promoted a sedentary lifestyle, where everything offended you.
