“F**k Me That Was Some Scrap” – “Greatest Combat” at UFC Long Island Leaves Ngannou, Oliveira, Pimblett, Poirier & Fans in Awe

UFC’s return to ABC (UFC on ABC 3) was graced with a flyweight war between two prospects that showcased the sheer heart and will to fight. Matt Schnell defeated Su Mudaerji in the second round in what was an all-time classic bout.

Official Result: Matt Schnell wins via submission 4:24 Round 2 (Triangle choke).

These two warriors put on a back-and-forth display that’s never been seen in the flyweight division before. The number 8 ranked fighter showed he had a bit more in the tank than his opponent, The Tibetan Eagle. Schnell caught Mudaerji with a triangle choke.

The Enbo Fight Club standout, Su Mudaerji, put on a valiant effort but came short. However, his performance had the Long Island crowd up on their feet. Fans electrified the arena as they cheered both fighters on top of their lungs.

In the post-fight interview with Daniel Cormier, Danger offered he doesn’t remember much of what happened in the bout. However, for the fight fans, these two flyweights put on an unforgettable bout. Thus, fight fanatics poured their emotions on the Internet.

MMA fans react to the UFC on ABC 3 war

The UFC world was in awe of the flyweights’ show of grit. Hence, they expressed their passion for the brilliant fight on Twitter as they praised both warriors.

The Liverpudlian Paddy Pimblett aka Paddy The Baddy hailed the bout as the best in the division. He wrote, “F*** me that was some scrap that! @ufc best FlyW fight I’ve ever watched! #UFCLongIsland.” 

The bout caught the attention of lightweight standout Dustin Poirier as well. ‘El Diamante’ is no stranger in getting into these kinds of wars himself, thus he described it as ‘bloodsport’.

The most-exciting fighter in the UFC roster based on the stats, Charles ‘Do Bronxs‘ Oliveira also watched the bout and left a few words for the flyweight standouts.

“#UFCLongIsland That second stanza was absolutely INSANE  Congrats Matt Schnell,” Oliveira wrote.

The baddest man on the planet, Francis Ngannou, enjoyed the high-paced flyweight contest as well.

“Those put on a great show,” The Predator wrote.

The former flyweight champion, Henry Cejudo asked the UFC to give a bonus to the winner.

“Give Matt Schnell 50 Gs right now! What an INSANE round and fight!,” the former UFC dual champion and Olympic gold medalist wrote.

The bout impressed the sporting world. Likewise, UFC President Dana White also loved the bout as he offered more money to the winner, apart from the Fight of the Night bonus.
