The rivalry between Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor is well-known to every UFC fan. Their rivalry became an entertaining affair for the MMA community when the two locked horns at UFC 229. In the pre-fight press conference, both McGregor and Nurmagomedov engaged in a verbal war with each other. During that time, the Irishman tried to insult ‘The Eagle’ in a number of ways. Shocking many, he even dragged the name of Vladimir Putin into their nasty brawl.

During their pre-fight press conference for UFC 229, ‘The Eagle’ said that he felt nothing when ‘The Notorious’ clicked a picture with Putin at the World Cup 2018 final. Later, he also made it clear that he did not want to take pictures with anyone. Soon, McGregor claimed that Nurmagomedov did not respect the president of his country. Khabib Nurmagomedov into politics?

Khabib Nurmagomedov was having a candid conversation with Patrick Bet-David. During the chat, he revealed that politics is not his thing. The UFC Hall of Famer said, “I have chance to become like… big political like… working like this but, I don’t want this and everybody knows this. I want to stay away from political. Because politics thing never stops, it’s always change it’s always never stops. I just want to be regular human.Nurmagomedov clarified that he did not want to complicate his life by joining politics.

Nurmagomedov retired from MMA when he was just 32. The former UFC lightweight champion does not want to stay in the sport after the death of his father, Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov. He chose to stay away from sports after listening to his mother. Nurmagomedov also wanted to spend more time with his family. He has once again proved that he wants to devote his time to his family as an ordinary man instead of getting into politics.

‘The Eagle’ shut down ‘The Notorious’

In the very same interview, Patrick Bet-David asked Nurmagomedov about the insults he received from McGregor. Bet-David also asked whether Nurmagomedov internalizes the harsh words blurted out by the former UFC double champion. As a response, ‘The Eagle’ said that he likes to listen to people when they talk. The Dagestani fighter later shut down McGregor by saying that he was someone with a low IQ.

According to Nurmagomedov, McGregor cannot control himself and his family. He strongly believes that if someone cannot control themselves and their family, they can never control their opponent.
