UFC CEO Dana White recently assured fans that the heavyweight division is about to heat up, teasing the much-anticipated showdown between Jon Jones and Tom Aspinall. “It’s coming. Relax,” White promised. However, patience is wearing thin. Fans are growing restless, demanding that Jones either defend his title against Aspinall or vacate the belt altogether. Jones’s latest post was flooded with fiery comments, with many urging the champion to “fight like a man” and stop delaying the inevitable.

Fairly recently, the heavyweight champion of the world, Jon Jones had an amazing moment with seven times Mr. Olympia, Arnold Schwarzenegger at the Arnold Sports Festival. ‘Bones’ took to his Instagram handle to upload several photos with the bodybuilding legend and captioned it with, “Couldn’t have had a better time in Columbus.“Hasta la vista, baby.” It appears that this statement by the champ has irked the fans who have been calling him out to clash against Aspinall.

Well, last year, Jon Jones did brush his shoulders against Tom Aspinall at the Arnold Sports Festival in Birmingham. According to Aspinall, he wanted a face-off for the fans but ‘Bones’ was smart enough to politely decline it. A year after the initial meetup, it appears that the hotshots of the heavyweight division will finally stand against each other as the UFC CEO has promised the fight.

UFC insider, Michael Bisping also believes that the clash will happen sooner than expected, “What’s going on with that one? We’ve got to get an announcement on Tom versus Jones pretty soon. I would say if they’re going to fight on International Fight Week or something like that, they’ve got to announce it. They’ve got to start the training camps, and the fact that they haven’t is giving me cause for concern.”

Despite the hubbub, the fans are quite impatient about the fight announcement as they took to Jones’s Instagram handle to call him out for ducking Tom Aspinall.
