By giving this shocker, Gastelum has surely created a halt for all the anticipation surrounding him. He posted a video on Instagram which revealed the entry of his recent nose fracture into the scene. The video became the talk of the town as the fans had a lot to express regarding the concern.

Kelvin Gastelum sheds light on his brutal injury

The primary reason Gastelum posted the video was to inform his fans of this terrible news. He explained that since he sustained a nose injury, he will not be able to compete against Rakhmonov. The explanation was quite long, considering the worst scenario.

He said, “Unfortunate news my fight with Shavkat Rakhmonov is off. I received an elbow that resulted in open fracture and a few bones that came out fractures. I apologize to everybody who was excited about this fight. My apologies to Rakhmonov and his team. I feel bad about this unfortunate incident.”

He further explained that he was surely looking forward to his return. Shedding light on the statement, he said, “I will be back. I am still going to continue training. Can do a lot of my training with my trainer, Noah Feinberg. I asked to move it up to November. hopefully they grant me this wish. That will be November 11th at Madison Square Garden. It’s hard to be Kelvin Gastelum fans, I know, But I promise you I will finally get back to the horse and get back on that winning streak and continue it”

Gastelum made it very apparent that he had an open fracture and wouldn’t be able to compete. He added that he was working hard in his training and couldn’t wait to return. However, given the level of suffering brought on by the injury, it won’t be quick for him. Considering this shocking update, the fans had a lot to express as they came up with their reactions.
