The former welterweight UFC champion Tyron Woodley is finally getting his boxing rematch against the Youtuber turned Boxer Jake Paul. The latter was previously set to face Tommy Fury. However, he pulled out just a few weeks before the fight due to an injury.

Now, Woodley and Paul will headline the event on December 18th, 2021, in Tampa, Florida. Earlier, ‘The Problem Child’ defeated ‘The Chosen One’ via a split decision in his boxing debut. However, this loss didn’t sit well with the former UFC champion, and he believed it was a controversial decision. Hence, he claimed to leave no stones unturned this time and knock out the Ohio native in the rematch.

In his recent interview with MMA Fighting, Woodley reflected on his previous loss. He said, “You know, very few times you get a chance to go back and redo something. Sometimes you sit there and you live in regret like dang man. You know, I felt like I won the fight. You know, maybe I could do this a little bit different. Maybe if I would have you know, threw a few more punches here.”

“So now I get the opportunity to go back and undo what was already done. So that’s something that drives me without even any additional money, any addition to sold-out crowds.”

“The fact that Jake Paul can walk around and say he beat me f*cking just boils my skin and blood and everything inside of my body. So I’m trying to go out there and make it clear that you know. I’m the better fighter, I’m the harder puncher and I’m the professional out here.”

Tyron Woodley Promises to Knockout Jake Paul

‘The Chosen One‘ during his time in the UFC has competed against the top-tier fighter from the welterweight division. He became the welterweight champion in 2016 and also made a few successful title defenses.

However, his setback against ‘The Problem Child’ in his boxing debut was a terrible mark on his MMA resume. Hence, he demanded a rematch right after the fight in the ring interview.
