UFC President Dana White appeared at the post-fight press conference of yet another episode of the Dana White’s Contender Series. He discussed many things including rewarding more new faces with UFC contracts. But what stole the limelight yet again was his response to the recent Triller fight card and questions related to it.
The recent card was a legends’ galore. David Haye made his return to boxing. Former UFC champions, Anderson Silva and Tito Ortiz fought with the former claiming a first-round knockout win. UFC legend Vitor Belfort and legendary boxing figure, Evander ‘The Real Deal’ Holyfied clashed in the main event as well.

However, White wasn’t a big fan of the event. He believes Ortiz had no business boxing anybody as he is not a good boxer. And much like combat sports fans across the globe, he was visibly disgusted to see an almost 60-year-old Holyfield fight again. ‘Real Deal’ is not a fraction of the fighter he once was and that showed in his performance.
Dana White says people who pay to Triller are dumb
Many fans still bought the pay-per-view to watch the fights. The fact that many of the names involved are idols of fight fans around the world, played a big part in people tuning in to watch. However, White says it’s nothing but a dumb show.

“Guys, let me put it to you this way. Anybody who is f*cking dumb enough to be willing to pay and watch these f*cking fights, Anderson Silva boxed Tito Ortiz. Boxed! Tito Ortiz! Tito Ortiz has no business f*cking boxing anybody,” said White.
“And Tito is 40 f*cking something years old. Evander Holyfield’s almost 60 years old. And he’s f*cking fighting,” he added. “You know what I think of this sh*t. It’s silly. All of it’s silly. There’s always gonna be a certain amount of people that are dumb enough to buy these fights and pay for them,” White said further.

It’s understandable why White is so disgusted with the fight cards that Triller comes up with. As a promoter who always looks to set up the best fights possible, this is something that doesn’t fit his mindset.
