The former UFC two-division champion, Henry Cejudo, just faced a huge loss in his MMA career. Cejudo lost against Aljamain Sterling at UFC 288 via split decision. The two fighters came face-to-face for the bantamweight title. Sterling became successful in defending his belt, while Cejudo’s dream of gaining it back remained unfulfilled. Cejudo was the former UFC flyweight and bantamweight champion. He was the fourth fighter in the history of the promotion to win championships in two different weight classes at the same time. Also, he was the second UFC fighter to defend his title in two divisions.

When ‘Triple C’ decided to come back to the bantamweight division, his only aim was to win the title once again. However, he lost in his attempt, and ‘The Funkmaster’ once again proved to be the bantamweight king. At the moment, the current flyweight champion, Brandon Moreno, has called out ‘Triple C’ after he lost the bout at UFC 288. ‘The Assassin Baby’ has hence asked Cejudo not to retire.

Soon after the bout between Sterling and Cejudo came to an end, Moreno took to his Instagram account to share a picture of himself with ‘The Messenger’. Under the photo, he wrote, @henry_cejudo don’t retire yet, please wait for me, I’m going to win my fight in July and then we can finish business, main event in Mexico City, I go to 135 Ibs, f*ck belts, just you and me in the octagon !!

To fight Cejudo, Moreno is ready to move up to 135 lbs. ‘The Assassin Baby’ made it clear that he is badly waiting to lock horns against ‘The Messenger.’ Moreno’s target, however, is not the belt. He wants to take revenge against the Olympic gold medalist for insulting him on several occasions in the past. Moreno and Cejudo were roommates; however, the friendship between the two didn’t survive the test of time. Things between them went worse when Cejudo accused ‘The Assassin Baby’ of calling the Brazilian crowd ‘dogs’ during his post-fight interview at UFC 283.
