Think Sean Strickland’s the only UFC fighter with Megan Fox in his DMs? Think again. It turns out the Transformers star also slid into the messages of UFC welterweight and three-time title challenger Colby Covington. But contrary to what some might assume, she wasn’t there to criticize or confront him. Instead, Fox reached out because of Covington’s notorious “bad guy” persona in the Octagon. Covington has long embraced the role of a pro-wrestling kind of heel in the UFC—never hesitating to stir up controversy, whether it’s trash-talking opponents’ families or pushing boundaries with his bold promos.

While his antics often rub fans the wrong way, Megan Fox seems to have a soft spot for fighters who walk on the wild side. In a recent interview with streamer Neon, shared by Happy Punch on X, Colby Covington didn’t just talk about the message, he showed proof. Pulling out his phone mid-interview, he recalled the surreal moment:

“My whole life, the baddest b—h, I always thought it was Megan Fox. After one of my fights, she messaged me, dude! She was just like, ‘Colby, you’re my favorite UFC bad guy.’ And she’s in my DMs.” This is when the host asked Covington if he could read the message aloud. “Can I read that out loud or not?” ‘Chaos’ readily agreed.

With Covington’s approval, the host read the DM: “Rooting for you tonight. You are my favorite UFC bad guy since Chael [Chael Sonnen]. It’s probably hard to keep that character all the time when you are naturally a more sensitive, sweet person. It’s worth it. You are so funny and talented! You deserve to be a superstar.”

Much like his longtime idol Chael Sonnen, Covington has leaned hard into the villain persona. But while the trash talk and theatrics once helped elevate his profile, they haven’t translated into recent success inside the Octagon. With just two wins in his last six fights, Chaos’ is coming off a brutal doctor’s stoppage loss to Joaquin Buckley—an upset that turned heads across the MMA community.

Moreover, all of this happened amidst Fox and Machine Gun Kelly’s breakup rumors. The couple famously broke off their engagement in late 2023. Taking to the Call Her Daddy podcast, Fox confirmed to host Alex Cooper that she and MGK called off their engagement some time in 2023. “I think that what I’ve learned from being in this relationship is that it’s not for public consumption.” They later got back together and even announced their pregnancy in November. However, reports from TMZ indicated that they broke up yet again.

The couple then welcomed their child in March. A source told People that Fox and Kelly would be co-parenting their baby.“Whatever issues they have, Megan and MGK both are on the same page when it comes to co-parenting,” the insider said. While Fox and MGK split in November 2024, the insider added: “No one would be surprised if they gave their relationship another try down the line. But right now they’re focused on what’s best for their daughter.”

Colby Covington gave his verdict on Paddy Pimblett

Last week, UFC 314 delivered one of the best pay-per-view events of the year, featuring an action-packed fight card that kept fans on the edge of their seats. Among the most talked-about moments was the co-main event, where Michael Chandler faced off against rising star Paddy Pimblett. After delivering a stunning knockout against Chandler, the Englishman was conducting a backstage interview at Miami’s Kaseya Center when Covington appeared and confronted him.

The tension stemmed from earlier comments made by Pimblett about ‘Chaos’. In response, Chaos went on the offensive, criticizing Pimblett’s record and the quality of opponents he had faced—many of whom were on losing streaks. Pimblett didn’t back down, quickly firing back and reminding Covington of his recent struggles. The situation almost escalated into a physical altercation, but security stepped in just in time to break it up.

In a recent appearance on Full Send MMA, Covington elaborated on the incident, saying: “The guy’s never going to get to a title fight, he’s never going to be a champion, he’s a f—–g bum. All he does is mumble sausages all day. That’s all he can say. … He was on my undercard, by the way. I’m a real star. I’m not a gimmick like Paddy Pimblett. Oh yeah: ‘I’ve got a stupid bowl cut, I’ve got an English accent and I look like Ellen DeGeneres.'”

So, what do you think about Colby Covington’s future in the sport? Do you believe the former interim 170lbs champ can bounce back and follow in Alexander Volkanovski’s footsteps with a career revival, or do you think his path is heading in a different direction? Drop your thoughts below!
