Undefeated former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov has recently come under fire from fans for promoting crypto tokens. His Twitter handle has shared a teaser video that hints at his involvement with some metaverse business. This comes after Khabib moved away from a very successful MMA career. He is reported to have left fighting at his mother’s behest who was worried for him but retired as one of the richest MMA fighters in the sport. Khabib Nurmagomedov is reportedly worth $40 Million as of January 2023. Yet in the recent past, the Dagestani has received flak from fans for his involvement in crypto and meta schemes that are said to be fraudulent. Khabib has subsequently come under fire from fans for promoting crypto tokens.

Earlier, fans had called out Khabib for his crypto involvements calling it ‘Haram’. Fans also asked if he needed money and were left wondering why he needs to work with such shady businesses despite having earned so much. His recent promotional video has attracted similar comments from fans.

Fans disappointed with Khabib’s newest venture

Fans flocked to let their views know after Khabib shared a short video where a meta avatar of the fighter can be seen facing away. While some fans asked Khabib why he was doing this, others reminded him of words from Conor McGregor, his arch-rival.

Khabib Nurmagomedov is the Brand ambassador for GMT

Khabib shot into the news when he signed with GMT Tokens as a brand ambassador. Naturally, he shared the token on his Twitter handle and fans erupted. While some fans called it gambling and called out Khabib. Others were of the opinion that the champion should not involve himself with tokens that have been known to be fraudulent in the past. Rug-pulling allegations have been piling up in the crypto world and Khabib Nurmagomedov’s involvement with them hasn’t sat well with his fans. The Hall of Famer is usually known for his discipline and work ethic.
