Claiming himself as one of the biggest draws in the UFC, Paddy Pimblett found himself in trouble ahead of his UFC 282 fight. While the Brit awaited his bout against Jared Gordon on 10 December 2022 in T-Mobile Arena, he was the center of controversy for a contentious tweet that he made last year. Notably, the remarks of the Liverpool-born fighter against another fighter on the fight card, Ilia Topuria, enabled the fans to dig deep into the lightweight fighter’s history. Therefore, attracting the fans’ flak once again.
Pimblett, 27, made a questionable tweet in April 2021 that attracted the attention of former UFC fighter Liana Jojua. Significantly, the Georgian fighter declared feeling ashamed that the Liverpudlian represented MMA.

Markedly, Pimblett, at 19-3, is currently on a 5-win streak that stretched back to 2018.
The former Cage Warriors featherweight champion made his UFC debut with a win against Luigi Vendramini in Sept. 2021. Subsequently, he faced Rodrigo Vargas on his home soil, and riding on the confidence of people’s support, he scored a submission win.

In his last Octagon appearance, Pimblett made his opponent Jordan Leavitt tap out in the second round. Thus, claiming a Performance of the Night bonus in all of his UFC appearances.
