Nick Diaz returned to fighting last year after over a five-year-long hiatus. He clashed against his old rival, Robbie Lawler, in a rematch that took 17 years in the making. The epic non-title fight took place at UFC 266 in September 2021.
The fight created a lot of hype among the fans. However, Diaz couldn’t deliver what he was expected to. He lost the bout via T/KO in the third round. Hence, many believed Diaz might retire after this fight, as he only looked like a shadow of his prime.
However, recently the head coach of Cesar Gracie BJJ and the coach of Nick Diaz, Cesar Gracie shared a post on his official Instagram account hinting at Diaz’s return.

Although some might be happy to see the fan-favorite back in action, many were displeased by the news. Probably because of his last performance in the rematch.

“Who really wants to see Nick Diaz return to the octagon? Man last won a fight 10 years ago, and he recently got knocked out (TKO) by Lawler who was 0-4 prior the fight. Dude couldn’t even make weight for the original scheduled weight class,” another user wrote.
