UFC fans can’t contain their excitement as UFC CEO Dana White has confirmed the first fights for the upcoming UFC 300 card! The event is scheduled to take place on April 13 2024 and is highly anticipated as it marks a historic milestone for the promotion. UFC 200 and UFC 100, the previous landmarks featured Brock Lesnar as the marquee name for the fans, but the recent announcement has generated the same level of excitement, if not more!

In a recent video on Instagram live, White had promised the fans that he will be announcing the UFC 300 card “soon”. And true to his word, the UFC head honcho has dropped a massive reveal that includes fighters like Jiri Prochazka, Aljamain Sterling, and Bo Nickal! The long-awaited details surrounding the UFC 300 card have now been revealed to the fans. In a bombshell update, the UFC announced that the card will feature former light-heavyweight champion Jiri Prochazka taking on Aleksandar Rakic

The event will also feature former bantamweight champion, Aljamain Sterling making his move up to featherweight to face Calvin Kattar. And the highly touted prospect, Bo Nickal will take on Cody Brundage in an attempt to continue his ascent up the UFC ladder.

The news has drawn a flurry of reactions from the community who were full of praise for Dana White for his incredible matchmaking decisions for this card. Fans were shocked that despite no announcement for the main event yet, UFC 300 is already set to be a must-watch event!

And in a recent interview, Sterling revealed his thoughts on his featherweight debut and even called out a former champion as a possible fight that intrigues him in the division!

Aljamain Sterling, who lost his bantamweight title to Sean O’Malley at UFC 292, will now face Calvin Kattar at UFC 300! In a recent conversation with MMAJunkie, Sterling stated that Kattar, who is returning from knee surgery, will be a suitable opponent for his debut in the new weight class.

However, he confessed that he was interested in taking on Max Holloway instead. He stated, “The Max Holloway fight would be a nice one-two former champions going at it”

He also went on to state that if Holloway decides to remain in the 145 lbs division instead of moving up to lightweight, it would, “be an absolute honor to share the octagon” with the former champion! Fans are still awaiting more news about the headlining matchups for the historic card and if the recent update is any indicator, the community will be treated to some more incredible matchups soon!
