Conor McGregor has never backed down from throwing shots on the internet. After Dan Hooker secured yet another win in the UFC by defeating Jalin Turner, McGregor couldn’t help but take a shot at the fighter. However, the MMA fans also had an opinion to share as they reminded ‘The Notorious’ of his bout against Nate Diaz.

UFC 290 indeed packed a punch with multiple first-round knockouts. However, the fight between Hooker and Turner was something that went the distance and pleased fans. While the bout went on for three complete rounds, the fighters were out of stamina pretty soon. The ‘Mystic Mac’, being the analyst that he is, took to Twitter and bashed the fighters for being gassed out. However, the fans were not too pleased with his comments.

While the fight proceeded with all attention on the Octagon, McGregor decided to take a jab at the fighters. He tweeted, “A 3 rounder is a piece of piss for a vet. I’d do 3 rounds with the flu.” However, he was quick to delete the post.

He claimed that he could fight a three-round fight with extreme ease. However, the fans didn’t seem to agree with the Irish fighter’s claims.

The fans reminded McGregor of his fight with Stockton’s native fighter. They reminded him that he too was gassed out within a couple of intense rounds.

Furthermore, one of the fans recollected the Irishman’s fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Khabib Nurmagomedov, claiming that he could have won both fights if he had his cardio game stronger.

A few more fans also commented that McGregor had poor stamina, indeed.

Another fan claimed that Nickal could easily defeat McGregor in a fight.

One fan jabbed at the fighter saying that he tapped out within the first round.

Nevertheless, the minds of the fans were tuned to the fights at UFC 290.

Dan Hooker vs. Jalin Turner at UFC 290

While the fight began with quite a lot of energy, the fighters were soon out of stamina. With strong exchanges and powerful performance, the first round seemed to belong to Turner. In the second round, ‘The Tarantula’ dominated the arena once again, and ‘The Hangman’ weathered the onslaught. Right at the end of round two, Hooker turned the tables on Turner with a rear naked choke, but Turner was saved by the clock. In the third round, both went all-out despite the visible exhaustion. They kept exchanging rapid and strong blows. Finally, it was Dan Hooker who emerged victorious via a split decision.
