After his controversial yet funny Netflix montage, ‘Burn The Boats’ on August 4, Joe Rogan returned to his podcasting. The multi-million dollar podcaster knew that, in order to control the damage from his latest escapade, he would have to invite someone who is more beloved by the fans than anyone else and that’s exactly what he did by getting legendary actor Adam Sandler to his show. Joe Rogan invited Sandler on ‘JRE 2187’ to have a candid conversation about Hollywood, however, it appears that the fans have some diverging opinions on the episode.
With over 3.8 million views on YouTube in just 24 hours, Rogan’s episode with Adam Sandler became one of his most-viewed episodes in recent times. It would not be wrong to state that the fans were hyped to witness their favorite movie star having a conversation with the podcaster. The community expected some unforeseen confessions from the star on the podcast, but that seldom happened as most of the conversation was about comedy back in those days.

It seems that Joe Rogan’s team couldn’t make the script better for the content. It must be noted that this is the second goof-up by the podcaster within a matter of a week. Why, you ask? Well, in his episode with Sara Imari Walker, Joe Rogan’s teammates messed up his name to ‘Roghan’. Regardless, let’s have a look at what the fans are thinking about the new episode of JRE.
Fans call out Joe Rogan for asking substandard questions to Adam Sandler
The Joe Rogan podcast has been the epitome of podcasting in the realm of entertainment. However, fairly recently, his conversation with his guests is either sparking controversies or losing its charm. It’s important to ͏note that much of it is because of the fact that the entire conversation sometimes r͏evolves around topi͏cs like ͏c͏omedy, ͏aliens, and otherworldly͏ being͏s. The Adam Sandler episode was supposed to be a better on considering the legendary status of the actor, but the contrary seems to have happened with Rogan. Looking at this, a fan wrote “2 hours of talking stand up.. I wanted you to ask him more about his movies.”
One of the highlights of the episode was Joe Rogan’s constant conversation about himself. The color commentator talked about his comedic timing back when he started comedy in the entire podcast and this seems to have irked some fans, “having a legend on to talk about yourself the entire episode is crazy.” Furthermore, another fan stated the same thing, “All you did was talk about your self the whole time.”

The community was expecting more questions about Adam Sandler’s personal life, but the entire convo revolved around stuff that had no correlation to Sandler. A social media user highlighted his disappointment, “This one failed all expectations. Big swing and miss by Joe.”
Furthermore, a fan wrote that Joe Rogan should refrain from talking about standup comedies more often, “Probably an unpopular opinion but stand-ups talking about standup is the most boring thing in the world . Everyone was murdering back in the day . Fair play if you like it tho but was hoping for some mad stories or more about the movies or SNL days etc.”
