Diageo Plc is the world’s largest spirits company with a net worth of $69 Billion and is responsible for the production of beverages such as Tanqueray gin, Guinness beer, and Baileys Irish cream. Michael Alexander, Diageo’s global head of water, environment, and agricultural sustainability, told Time that the company is concerned about water shortages for production. And now, it seems like the lack of production due to the water crisis and the rising demand of the drink has caused a shortage in the UK. So, this is definitely a situation that Conor McGregor would like to jump into.
With his Forget Irish Stout, he can help fulfill the demands of the people in the UK by replacing Guinness beer as their favorite and providing ample amounts of his very own brand. In fact, McGregor even pitched it by commenting on a recent news report that stated how Diageo has been unable to meet the production demands, leading to shortages. Advertising his own drink, McGregor wrote, “@forgedirishstout IS WAY TASTIER AND WAY CREAMIER! #RealIrishStout”
If fans actually accept the Forged Irish stout as their new favorite brand of drink, it will be a major help to the Irishman considering that McGregor has been going through serious economic woes in recent times. He recently lost a court case brought by Nikita Hand, and the Dublin High Court ordered ‘The Notorious’ to pay over $250,000 in damages. This decision has had a devastating impact on McGregor’s personal and professional lives.

Proximo Spirits intimated that they would discontinue using McGregor’s name to sell Proper No. 12 whiskey, while merchants such as Tesco, Centra, Costcutter, Carry Out, and SuperValu had withdrawn products featuring him. So it seems like Conor McGregor now wishes to get back on track, and that is why he has been really focused on promoting his brand every chance he gets.
Conor McGregor trying a comeback into a $1,762 billion market
This wasn’t the first time that McGregor promoted his Forged Irish stout since his major loss in the civil case. Just a day ago, the Irishman promoted his business on X to find his space again in the $1,762 billion alcohol market. Taking to his X account, Conor McGregor promoted his Forged Irish Stout by tweeting, “The greatest, most famous Public House in all of Ireland! Food, drink, ambience out of this World! #DublinTwelve #TheBlackForgeInn #ForgedIrishStout”

With major money slipping out of his hands through the loss of brand endorsements, McGregor is now trying to focus on his own Irish stout brand to bring him back into much better economic shape. With even his co-ownership of the BKFC rumored to be at risk, it would be best that the Irishman actually brings his stout brand into a much stronger position in the alcohol market. It will help him in the future, but it will also allow him to pay the additional payments he has been asked to make again by the court.
For the unaware, the Dublin court has also ordered McGregor to cover Nikita Hand’s legal bills. According to the court, the guilty will pay for the defendant’s legal bills amounting to around a million dollars. So it is safe to say that McGregor will now have to tap into his nest eggs to make the payments. What do you think? Will McGregor be able to bounce back from this situation?
