Joe Rogan goes to Rick and Morty

Many still remember UFC Color Commentator Joe Rogan as the host of the “Fear Factor” series. Although the show was a tremendous hit among the mainstream audience and Rogan became a household American name. The show, however, had to be discontinued after the second season.

He then later set up ‘The Joe Rogan Experience’ podcast. To Rogan’s astonishment, it became way more successful than he could’ve ever imagined. Soon, the 55-year-old’s podcast became one of the biggest hits on the Spotify platform.

People just gravitated towards listening to the polymath’s take on a vast array of topics. Hence, making him an icon in pop culture. The popular sitcom series “Rick and Morty” featured the former “Fear Factor” host. The animated comedy show really hit it home with this segment from its latest episode.

However, Rogan’s easily distinguishable voice was missing from the episode. Although, the showrunners included some jokes about the host’s personality, which fans of the podcast will be familiar with…

Fans react to this weird cameo

Many fans took to Twitter to express their opinions on this “Rick and Morty” clip, featuring the 55-year-old.

Fans quickly caught on to the fact that it wasn’t The JRE host voicing his character and expressed their opinion sarcastically, writing:

Fans think the choice of costume for the animated figure representing the podcast host is spot on. The dialogue can also be easily mistaken for one of his podcast episodes.

The writers of the American sitcom, Dan Harmon and Justin Roiland, did a great job comically re-creating an episode of JRE with dinosaurs. Must have been fans of the podcast!

Despite various reactions, many fans agree that Joe Rogan is a great fit for the show. But, not including his voice is a huge missed opportunity from the show creators.
