Khamzat Chimaev vs. Colby Covington is currently one of the most talked about fights among UFC fans. And looking at the stats of both the fighters, Chimaev was favored over Covington in this matchup. However, that stance has now changed after ‘Borz’ posted a picture of himself with the Head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadyrov, on his Instagram. Chimaev’s post has offended the fans on Reddit and as a result, they are harshly condemning the UFC fighter.

Prior to Chimaev, other UFC fighters like Justin Gaethje, Kamaru Usman, and Henry Cejudo were also spotted with Ramzan Kadyrov.

Khamzat Chimaev faces severe criticism from fans

A social media post can decide anyone’s fate today. And that’s precisely what Khamzat Chimaev just encountered as a result of a picture he posted on Instagram. Moreover, the same post was recently shared on a UFC subreddit with the caption, “You guys gonna pick Colby to win now?”.

Responding to this, fans have now changed the course of their prior thoughts on Chimaev vs. Covington. Instead, Chimaev has received severe backlash on the same.

On a different note, Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington is a fight that the fans are really looking forward to. And not just fans, even Dana White likes the sound of it. In an interview with TheMacLife, White gave his word on making Chimaev vs. Covington happen alongside Edwards vs. Usman 3.

The interviewer suggested that Chimaev vs. Covington would be a solid co-main event for Leon Edwards vs. Kamaru Usman 3 main card. Dana White responded in agreement and said, “I agree with you. I am on it. I’ll get it done.”
