Ex-UFC Title Challenger Berates Bernie Sanders After Alleging $40 Billion Hypocrisy in His Latest Vote

Ex-UFC title challenger Jake Shields had a scathing reply to the longest-serving independent in the U.S. Congress, Bernie Sanders, recent policies.

Jake Shields is a prominent figure in the MMA community and boasts of a long and illustrious career in the sport, with 46 fights to his name, spanning 4 separate decades. Shields had been a part of the UFC and rose to even greater heights with the premiere promotion.

Coming to his recent statement, he blasted Sanders for voting in favor of sending foreign aid to Ukraine, which is currently embroiled in a crisis with Russia. Shields tweeted, “Bernie Sanders spent his entire career Being anti war but just voted to send 40 billion to weapons manufacturers in Ukraine What a pathetic embarrassing sell out he’s become”

Shields was once dominating the MMA scene as the Strikeforce middleweight champion and won his first fight in the UFC to get into a collision course with the then UFC welterweight champion Georges St-Pierre. However, he lost to the MMA GOAT and his 15 fights winning streak came to an end. As of now, the veteran finds himself in the Professional Fighters League.

But this wasn’t the only time he let out a controversial statement in favor of or against a massively popular personality.

The ex-UFC fighter is not one to dial down his opinion, no matter how controversial, and puts them onto the micro-blogging in a raw form without any filter.

Recently, Shields spoke in support of controversial billionaire and to-be owner of Twitter, Elon Musk, and his newfound support for the GOP. The MMA veteran didn’t just stop there and even let the President of the United States, Joe Biden, know of his opinion about him in a recent tweet.
