While one is a daughter, the other two are boys and their names are Fatima, Magomed, and Husayn, respectively. While he never talked about his daughter coming into MMA, he did talk about the chances of his sons, who have started training, entering the MMA realm, surprising no one.

“Personally, I don’t want him to become a professional athlete. But, if he choose, what we can do? I’m not going to hold him (back) or do something, but honestly, I don’t want [him to compete professionally]. I just want him to become a normal human because professional athletes, they are not normal people,” Khabib Nurmagomedov said during an interview at an event in Canada last year.

‘The Eagle’s wife, Patimat, is actually a distant cousin of Khabib Nurmagomedov, sharing the same last name even before marriage. In fact, both of them were born in the Dagestani village of Sildi and they met when during their younger years in school. When they got married in 2013, the couple hosted a mindboggling 4000 people during their celebrations.

By the time Khabib Nurmagomedov married Patimat, he had already become a professional UFC fighter and defeated the likes of Gleison Tibau and Kamal Shalorus as his first lightweight opponents. So, Dagestanis marched in thousands to attend Nurmagomedov’s spectacular wedding feast. However, as the customs dictate in Islamic traditions, the bride, Patimat, was covered in a veil.

Due to this tradition, Patimat manages to avoid public appearances without the veil. And nobody has ever taken or posted pictures of Patimat Nurmagomedov. Whereas the outside world has objected to this treatment, Khabib’s strict adherence to the Islamic religion never falters.
