UFC lightweight Islam Makhachev is set to return to the UFC Octagon this weekend as he takes on fellow up and comer Thiago Moises in the main event of a UFC Fight Night card. The Dagestani last fought at UFC 259 as he earned a dominant submission win against Drew Dober. It was a showcase performance from the Russian as he showed his ability to dominate his opponents on the ground.

Makhachev is currently on a 7-fight winning streak inside the Octagon. He has certainly been able to establish himself as one of the most dominant contenders of the 155 lbs division with time. Comparisons with his teammate and former UFC lightweight champion, Khabib Nurmagomedov have been imminent too.

Who did Islam Makhachev marry?

As mentioned, Makhachev doesn’t share many details about his personal life on social media. The lightweight star is pretty reserved about what goes on in his day-to-day life. But videos and images of his wedding surfaced all over the internet recently.

It is believed that Makhachev got married on April 8, 2021, in Makhachkala, Dagestan. He booked a hotel with thousands of guests present. UFC stars like Khabib Nurmagomedov, Zubaira Tughukov were present during the ceremony. However, the name of her bride or any other details about her is unavailable as of now.

Makhachev spends most of his time practicing MMA and doing other hobbies most of the time. But he rarely makes anything about his family public. The lightweight star tied knots with his wife after his win over Dober at UFC 259.
