With his UFC career spanning over a decade now, the now-32-year-old is also regarded as one of the best boxers in the entire history of the UFC.
Now, Max Holloway is gearing up for a second chance at featherweight gold against the champion, Ilia Topuria at UFC 308. Meanwhile, fans might be aware of a number of such facts about Holloway’s UFC career, but the same cannot be said about his personal life. Due to his troubled childhood, Holloway didn’t have a lot of friends surrounding him as he grew up. However, he found solace when he met his girlfriend, Kaimana Pa’aluhi. The two shared a strong bond and also decided to tie the knot in 2012. They were also blessed with a son shortly after whom they named Rush Holloway. Unfortunately, the couple separated in 2014 just over two years into their marriage and their relationship came to an end with a divorce in 2017.
After waiting for three years, Holloway started to develop another relationship with the noted Hawaiian surfer, Alessa Quizon. Their relationship developed pretty quickly as Holloway revealed Quizon had replied with a “Yes” to his proposal. They were only 8 months into their relationship back then.
Nevertheless, Holloway and Quizon took a fair amount of time following their engagement. It would have been expected by fans that they would announce their marriage a lot sooner, but the two eventually settled on 16 April 2022 as the date of their wedding. The lovely wedding ceremony took place in Hawaii and several of their friends and family members were present as Alessa Quizon became Alessa Holloway.

Have an interesting take?
Similar to Holloway, Quizon was also born in Hawaii and is currently 30 years of age. Sources also state that her father’s name is Scott Quizon, but barely anything when we try to find something on her mother. Apart from that, she has three other siblings, one of whom is a sister by the name of Christen Quizon, and two brothers, John & Dayton Quizon. In social media, she is quite active and has a Facebook account, and her Instagram has, combined, a total of almost a million followers.
What is Alessa Quizon’s profession?
It is important to note that Hollway’s wife Alessa is quite the athlete because she’s an accomplished surfer and has participated in World Surfers’ League tournaments. She has also taken part in some of the renowned surfing competitions across the continents. These include the Fijian Women’s Pro Surfing Championship and the West Australian Margaret Pro Surfing Championships. Quizon had also ascertained with the help of her Facebook page that she was unable to take part in the season for 2022, but probably retirement from the sport was not something she was planning for quite a while.
It’s understandable if her fans were disappointed since she decided not to participate in the competition for the season 2022. Nevertheless, now that it is over, they will most certainly desire that she can remain on top of her game. But moving over to the family side of things, let’s see if Alessa and Max Holloway have any children of their own.
How many kids do the couple have?
The marriage union of Max Holloway and Alessa Quizon has not been graced with a child of their own yet, so far. But as we’ve already mentioned, ‘Blessed’ has a son with his first wife, Kaimana Pa’aluhi, named Rush Holloway. Born in 2012, Rush grew very fond of sports at a very young age. Several pictures posted by his father on social media indicate that the 12-year-old partakes in baseball and surfing, taking a liking to his stepmother’s profession.

On their respective Instagram pages, it is easy to find the Holloway family’s happy moments captured in some beautiful pictures. To say that Quizon has embraced Rush will not be an understatement. The BMF champion’s family is in a very happy place, but they could get even happier if Max Hollway can bring home the gold once more.
Things have already heated up between Max Holloway and Ilia Topuria. As the former put it, ‘El Matador’ is “just a copycat,” referencing how Topuria’s been seen imitating Conor McGregor‘s antics, style, and even his tattoos. Will the Georgian-Spaniard reply with a knockout, or will it be another day of triumph for Holloway? That remains to be seen.
