Several UFC fans think that the former UFC Strawweight champ, Rose Namajunas will face a tough challenge when she takes on Manon Fiorot at UFC Fight Night 226 on 2 September. ‘Thug’ will be making her octagon return after an almost 16-month hiatus from the promotion. She will also be competing in an entirely new division where she has never been before. But, her French opponent, Fiorot, has already fought five times in the UFC’s Flyweight division.

The name of Manon Fiorot’s current partner is Aldric Cassata. Fiorot was born on 17 February 1990 in the French city of Nice. She got into martial arts early in her childhood when she was just 7. Fiorot took up karate as her genre of first martial art.

Much is not known about her schooling and other educational background. However, sources say that Fiorot completed her course at a local university before getting into professional MMA. But none of them talk about how ‘The Beast’ got involved in a relationship with Cassata. It’s quite possible that she didn’t have any connection with him during her educational days. Although, Cassata’s profile revealed his profession, ‘Boxingsquad’s’ Instagram page is also enough to know what he does for a living. While the description of ‘Boxingsquad’s’ Instagram page reads, “MMA gym founded by @aldriccassata”, his own profile provides even more specific information about his profession. It says, “HEADCOACH @boxingsquad X @maccabinice”.

Cassata’s profession is probably the reason why a lot of fans might think he wasn’t in a relationship with Fiorot during her school or university days. Some sources reveal Fiorot went for kickboxing and Muay Thai training to develop herself as a martial artist after training in karate. But, they never talked about the facility where Fiorot went for training.

Reports also suggest that he held a record of 10-5 in his professional MMA career. He fought for the last time on 11th July 2015 under a promotion named ‘Luctor Cage Fight’ and also secured a victory via a rear naked choke in the first round. Well, looking at his career in ‘Boxingsquad’, where he also trains a number of noted MMA athletes apart from Fiorot, it’s hard to imagine that he will step into the MMA cage again.
