Paddy Pimblett delivered an impressive performance in his debut match in the UFC. The 26-year-old secured a first-round stoppage victory against the Brazilian fighter Luigi Vendramini in UFC Fight Night. Following the win, Pimblett expressed his joy after his first UFC victory in the post-fight interview.
The British fighter believes he is the next big thing in the UFC. In the post-fight interview, while expressing his happiness for his stunning UFC debut, Pimblett said, “Goosebumps proper goosebumps yeah. You know what I mean when my songs come on, that’s another one. There’s not many on this earth like the feeling I have when that song comes on. And I start clapping my hands together and the drops into my heads will roll like. Especially there were actually some fans there screaming my name going bananas.”

He added, “I’d wait until we go to a real and like even in England or anywhere in the UK. But even in Australia or a stadium in America, everyone will be screaming my name. Whether I’m fighting an American or Australian like I’m infectious, you know what I mean. I am very polarizing some people love me, some people hate me, but you’re gonna watch me fight… On Monday morning there’s gonna be loads of kids in the gym MMA gyms that would never the wins if it wasn’t for me. And that fills me with pride.”

Despite that, Pimblett survived and bounced back quickly. ‘The Baddy’ later opened up with a barrage of punches which sent the Brazilian to the canvas, the explosive finish coming at 04:25 in the first round.
