Former Republican President Donald Trump returns to the White House after winning Tuesday’s presidential election in a contest in which he beat his opponent, Democrat Kamala Harris. The celebration was accompanied by notable figures such as Elon Musk and Dana White, president of the UFC, the world’s leading mixed martial arts (MMA) promoter. The night of the election was attended by more than 4,000 people, including political figures such as Nigel Farage and the son of former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro. The presence of White, a loyal ally of Trump, did not surprise observers, since his friendship and support for the American politician have deep roots. Trump also wanted Dana White to speak at the microphone after his victory speech.
The relationship between Dana White and Donald Trump dates back more than 25 years when Trump supported the first steps of the UFC at a time when the sport lacked acceptance. As White commented in a 2018 interview, “I would never say anything negative about Donald Trump because he was there when other people weren’t.” This link has been publicly acknowledged by both, and Trump values White’s loyalty, whom he has even described as one of his “best friends.” So here are all the instances where the UFC head honcho proved that he is one true friend of the new United States President.

In the 2024 elections, Donald Trump truly earned some love from the realm of the UFC as several fighters and personalities from the sport came to show him support. Henry Cejudo, Karamu Usman, Ali Abdelaziz, and Colby Covington were some of the notable men who publically endorsed the Republican candidate. However, the name that truly stands tall is that of UFC CEO Dana White.
The UFC boss has been acting as a true friend through and through, and one of the major proofs of this was when he gave a passionate speech in support of Donald Trump at the Republican National Convention. According to Trump, he wanted White to give the speech; however, the UFC head honcho was traveling with his family at the moment and declined the offer. But not long after that call, he informed Donald Trump that he could not let his friend down and would make it to the convention to introduce the Republican candidate to the stage.

During his speech, he said, “I know President Trump is a fighter; I’ve been saying this since 2015. Now look at what’s happened over the last 10 years; we have all seen it with our own eyes. I’m in the tough guy business, and this man is the toughest, most resilient human being that I’ve ever met in my life. I know President Trump is a proven leader, a fearless leader, and this country was in a much better place when he was in the Oval Office. In my mind, the choice is clear, but this election, we all get to choose. I know I’m going to choose strength and security. I know I’m going to choose opportunity and prosperity.” White also made other appearances with Trump where he constantly showed his support for his friend.

Dana White came in support after Trump’s assassination attempt
This presidential election took a serious turn when multiple assassination attempts were made against Donald Trump. The first incident took place during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, last July. On that occasion, the attacker, Matthew Crooks, shot multiple shots toward the Republican candidate; however, only one connected with Donald Trump as it grazed his ear and left him wounded. But like a scene from an action movie, Trump decided to stand tall with his fist held high rather than evacuate. This was a moment that became iconic in the media.
Dana White shared the now-iconic image on his Instagram along with a caption that read, “This image perfectly reflects EXACTLY the man I know Donald Trump to be. He is the toughest, most resilient, AMERICAN BAD A** on this planet. I hope the weak coward that shot him gets what he deserves, and I can’t WAIT to stand up on stage with him on Thursday and introduce him at the Republican National Convention and tell the WORLD exactly the character of the friend and man I KNOW!!”

Unfortunately, just 50 days before the U.S. election, Donald Trump became a part of a second assassination attempt that almost occurred at Trump International Golf in West Palm Beach, where the former president was playing behind closed doors during his day off. At his golf club, the Republican candidate was moving between holes five and six when agents from his Secret Service escort spotted a rifle in the bushes. The agents fired in the distance, and the man fled in a vehicle before being arrested. Luckily, the now president was unscathed.
When White bashed YouTube for deleting Trump’s podcast
Another highlight of the whole election campaign came when Donald Trump became part of several podcasts and interviews with stars of the internet. One such appearance came when he became a part of the Full Send Podcast. However, in a move that shocked many, YouTube actually decided to remove the episode from their platform as it went against their ‘misinformation policy.’ This truly caused an uproar as Trump raged against the platform for deleting the podcast episode. In a statement released by his Save America PAC, he said, “Whatever happened to free speech in our country? Incredibly, but not surprisingly, the Big Tech lunatics have taken down my interview with the very popular NELK Boys so that nobody can watch it or in any way listen to it.”
The sentiment was echoed by Dana White as he appeared on an episode of Impaulsive with Logan Paul. Raging against the platform for the action they took, he said, “It’s insane. Why would they do that? Why would they take that? What was bad about that interview? If you look at all the s**t that’s on the f***ing internet, that’s what you’re going to take down? F***ing kidding me?” He continued his rant as he spoke about how everyone in this country has the right to free speech, and opinions are subjective and not necessarily something that everyone would agree with.
This wasn’t the only instance that Donald Trump suffered such a fate on YouTube. The Republican also made major news when he became a part of the Joe Rogan universe by being a guest on episode #2219 of JRE. The special edition became a phenomenon on the internet as it earned over 20 million views in just 20 hours. However, it soon suffered a shadowban on YouTube that stopped viewers from getting the podcast episode in their search results.
White’s charity acts towards the POTUS’ causes
Dana White is a very rich man who has a company worth $12 billion and a personal net worth of over $500 million. As a result, it isn’t shocking to see him helping out his friend Donald Trump by donating to his charitable causes. One such instance was when White donated $100,000 to Donald Trump’s fundraiser for the victims of Hurricane Helene.
He also made a generous donation of $50,000 alongside billionaire Ken Griffin, Stephen Wynn, and singer Kid Rock, as they helped raise money on a GoFundMe campaign set up by Trump for the victims of the stray bullets that were meant for the Republican candidate during the first assassination attempt at his life. Through the generous donations, the fund collected over $4.3 million.

Dana White stood with Donald Trump when no one else did!
The UFC head honcho can never forget the generosity that Donald Trump once showed to him when he let Dana White host UFC events in his hotel after senators tried their best to run the promotion to the ground. As a result, White has made it his life’s motto to help out his friend whenever he is in need. One such situation occurred back in 2021, as he revealed in an interview with Teddy Atlas and Ken Rideout on ‘THE FIGHT’ with Teddy Atlas.

White revealed that people around him often caution him about aligning himself with Donald Trump, and he received similar advice when Donald Trump wanted him to speak at a convention. However, despite being cautioned against Trump, he decided to show his support to the business tycoon. He said, “[Donald Trump] calls me up and says, ‘I would like you to speak for me at the convention.’ Everybody, and I mean f***ing everybody, told me not to do it. I’m like, ‘Are you crazy, man?.’ Just for the record, when Trump called me, he said, ‘Uh, listen, if you don’t want to do this, I completely understand. It’s no big deal. But I would be honored if you would speak at the convention’. Yeah, there’s no f***ing way in hell I’m not doing that for him. Then once I spoke, you know, our friendship went to a whole another level.”
He even once spoke out against a sponsor who wanted him to remove an Instagram post that showed support for Donald Trump. So in true Dana White fashion, the UFC head honcho replied, “Go f*** yourself.” Love him or hate him, there is no denying that the UFC head honcho is a true friend. What do you think of their bond?
