On Joe Rogan’s podcast earlier this year, Jelly Roll admitted that he made music to “help people”. The artist spoke about how his mother suffered from mental health issues. This led to him making music that could work therapeutically. Now, the artist has put up an Instagram post which is just a wall of kind words for the Joe Rogan Experience family.

“Ever since I met Joe Rogan and Tony Hinchcliff, they have done nothing but bless me and treat me like family,” he wrote. “Equally ever since the first time I walked into the Comedy Mothership earlier this year the entire staff has treated me like family.. this club is truly one of the most magical places on earth . . . Thank you Joe, Tony , Brian Simpson , and the incredible staff at the comedy mothership for yet another night I’ll never forget but hardly remember lol…”

Jason Bradley DeFord aka Jelly Roll claimed that he had been a touring artist “for the last 13 years straight,” and that he had seen every bar in every nook and cranny in America. But none of them quite beat Mitzi’s Bar at the comedy club. The bar is dedicated to Mitzi Shore who is considered the godmother of standup comedy. Here’s the full post.
