Mark Zuckerberg is a tech genius and also an elite-level mixed martial artist. So the question that hangs unanswered is, does Elon Musk really stand a chance? With the latest update on the fight, it doesn’t seem like we’ll get a clear answer to it any time soon. But we can always speculate.

Thanks to Essentially Sports exclusive ES Fancast, we don’t have to speculate. Recently, the ES team interviewed Zuckerberg’s amazing trainer and sparring partner. The fighter who is currently signed with PFL opened up about his ideas for the Battle of the Billionaires. Here’s everything you need to know.

Khai Wu is a brilliant PFL fighter who also happens to be Zuckerberg’s trainer. The billionaire who also loves Brazilian Jiu Jitsu was very open to Elon Musk’s fight challenge. In fact, once the challenge surfaced, Zuckerberg took it almost too seriously.

However, the same cannot be said for Musk, who would often be seen out of shape and unserious about it all. On the other hand, ‘Zuck’ would post pictures and videos of him training. Recently, Khai Wu sat down for an exclusive interview for ES Fancast with Noah Lack. Here’s what he had to say.

“Realistically, I mean he’s (Musk) 53,” said Wu. “He’s, you know, not in the best shape to kind of put things in perspective. So it’s a very simple gameplan it’s like drag those guys in the deep water. Try to survive the first couple minutes, circle around, move around and as the fight gets later in the rounds, Elon is going to (be) gassed. And that’s why I honestly think Elon didn’t take the fight.”

So it appears Team Zuckerberg is all geared up to take down an unprepared Musk. But that is if the fight were to ever really happen. After all the long dragged-out comments and talks, both sides have been hesitant. In fact, Zuckerberg recently confirmed that it was time to forget it all. Khai Wu spoke about the same at length.

In the exclusive ES Fancast interview, Khai Wu was asked about the status of the Musk vs. Zuckerberg match. Unfortunately, the trainer was not able to provide any new exciting details about the possible cage fight. In fact, he just backed up Zuckerberg’s earlier stance on the fight.

“If you go back and defer back to Mark’s last thread about that fight and conversation,” Wu said, “He said he wanted to move on and if he says that, I believe it and I haven’t heard anything since.”

So it’s done now. The Meta CEO is actually not going to fight Musk at all. That’s a little bit of a shame because fans would have paid an awful lot to see the fight actually happen. Now, Zuckerberg wants to move on to actual fights and collect accolades outside of the tech world. Khai Wu is going to be backing him up one way or another.
