As the interview started in the ES FanCast Exclusive, host Andrew Whitelaw introduced the legend and complimented Buffer on how after his arrival, the MMA promotion witnessed massive growth. Along with that, he acknowledged the UFC CEO’s hard work as well. The host also asked him about how he kept himself motivated after all these years and Buffer gave his candid answer.
Buffer said, “I wake up every morning humbled by the fact that I can wear the UFC … I have it on my chest right now to a degree. [He was wearing the UFC jacket].” The Voice of UFC added, “One key thing, last thing is that every night I walk into that Octagon, I have to prove to myself, to the fans, great fans watching, the powers that be, Dana and everybody else, and the fighters that I deserve this shot.”
The respect that he has for UFC is truly remarkable and without his booming voice, the Octagon may not have had its grandeur in place. He also shared with Andrew how he respects Dana White and talked about who might get the special “One and Only” treatment after Conor McGregor and Jon Jones.

The booming Voice of UFC wants to keep some surprises for fans
The ‘Buffer Bow,’ a fitting moniker for his special introduction reserved for special fighters. So far, only McGregor and Jones have bee the only recipients of this introduction. Naturally, fans would want to know who else Buffer thinks deserves the Bow. However, Buffer wants to keep the element of surprise intact.
Bruce Buffer did not want to give away all the names of the fighters he thinks deserve special treatment. He wants fans to anticipate the names and the UFC announcer believes that this secret will keep the shine alive.

According to him, the real excitement lies in the sudden revelation and he aims to make it a special moment for the UFC fighters. He stated, “With all due fairness, I’m gonna hold back on that and I’ll tell you why. [It’s] because I’d like to surprise people when I do it.”
The 67-year-old stated that several fighters were gearing up to become the best in their weight class. According to him, they would get their dues when the right time came and Buffer would make that moment special.
