Chandler has been active in putting out content on his YouTube channel recently, communicating directly with the fans. In a recent video, the former Bellator champion revealed that he had been receiving significant amounts of visibility and media attention ever since the announcement of the McGregor fight.
“I’m on a pretty good platform these days, huge fight scheduled against Conor in June. Massive amounts of media, massive amounts of attention, massive amounts of success, endorsements, money opportunities, all of these different things,” he said.
Reflecting on his career, Chandler also said that he had grown a lot as a person and a fighter over the past ten years and had become more confident, comfortable, and sure of himself. The 37-year-old felt he had also understood the business and how to play the game over this time.
But for me, I’ve grown over the last decade and a half, I have continued to gain more and more confidence in myself, in my worth if you will. I’ve learned how to play the game a little bit. I’ve learned the right things to do the wrong things to do,” he added. Chandler also shed light on the one thing that has kept him on the right path throughout his career.

Chandler observed that he had never found training hard, staying focused and disciplined difficult, unlike most fighters. He had an inspiring take on the cost of success, saying success was not owned but rented, and the rent needed to be paid every day. The Missouri native credited this to his Christian faith for having the work strength of character to stay disciplined and not succumb to distractions.
“For me, the training has always been easy. It was always easy for me to be disciplined. It was easy for me to put massive amounts of work in… because ultimately success is rented it’s never owned and the rent is due every single day and that’s the way I’ve always approached it, but I think it’s uh you know but this is about being a Christian,” he said.
