Former champion Jamahal Hill may not have expected what could have happened in the aftermath of his decision to confront Alex Pereira at the UFC PI. Fellow UFC fighter and lightweight veteran, Michael Johnson appeared to back ‘Poatan’ on this one while criticizing ‘Sweet Dreams’, and as expected, Hill didn’t like that one bit and decided to put ‘The Menace’ on blast.
Michael Johnson said that when Jamahal Hill didn’t put on the gloves to fight Alex Pereira at the UFC PI, he only ended up doing what he claims is “clown sh*t.” During an appearance on Mike Perry‘s OverDogs Podcast, Johnson said, “Why even go over there and say anything if you’re not prepared to do anything?… It made no sense… And he’s lucky Alex didn’t have a mindset like somebody like me or you, because honestly, he should have got hit.”
The former light heavyweight champion appeared very furious with the lightweight fighter’s comments and proceeded to remind him of his place in the UFC ranks, and threw shade at his UFC career. “Gang u a b*tch and you one of the biggest clowns and p***y’s on the roster. They keep u around to get slept by debut fighters,” Jamahal Hill reacted on X. “I’ve made more money than you and you been here 3x as long so I would expect you to know the money game! Find out what it is when I’m on that time frfr.”

Meanwhile, Alex Pereira also shed some light on the confrontation with Jamahal Hill, which he claims was something that he had never experienced before. But did it matter to him much? Well, it hasn’t because the Brazilian star is only focused on what he does inside the Octagon.

Alex Pereira’s reaction to confronting Jamahal Hill
Alex Pereira claims that he had no idea that Jamahal Hill came up to him to trade some verbal jabs while training at the PI. In fact, it was the first time that he had ever found himself being confronted in that manner by someone, but ‘Poatan’ believes it is just a part of the fight game. His only goal is to keep winning and setting records like he already has, and has suggested that Hill focus more on the task at hand, which is his high-profile clash with fellow former champion, Jiri Prochazka.
“Well, things happen [in the fight game]. This is the first time it’s happened to me, but I’m focused on myself, focused on my thing,” Alex Pereira told ‘MMA Junkie’. “Right now, he should be worried about his next fight. He has a tough fight with Jiri.” What do you think? Will Jamahal Hill ever get a crack at the Brazilian star in the future?

Before you answer that question, it’s important to note that Jamahal Hill’s next fight against the Czech star could very well be a title eliminator because we still don’t know who Alex Pereira is fighting next. It remains to be seen how the light heavyweight division pans out following UFC 311. Let us know your thoughts in the comments down below.
