Dana White stating his willingness to set up Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg, took the combat sports community by surprise. Especially considering the fact that this contradicted White’s earlier statement about not being interested in doing ‘gimmick’ fights. Clearly, the UFC head honcho sees a business opportunity putting the two tech billionaires inside the octagon and locking the door behind them. Now, White has made another revelation, this time concerning Tesla CEO Elon Musk’s fighting credentials.

The world started discussing Musk vs. ‘Zuck’ after the former stated his willingness to fight the Meta CEO inside a cage. Musk was on one of his Twitter strolls responding to fans when he made this now-viral statement. In a surprising move, Zuckerberg responded with the iconic Khabib Nurmagomedov phrase “send me location” – a response fitting a callout for a cage match.

Following the series of events, White stepped forward and claimed that the two billionaires were serious about fighting each other. White even went so far as to claim that this would be the biggest fight in the history of combat sports if it came to fruition.

As fans and pros started to discuss a potential showdown between the two, many gave Zuckerberg the advantage, owing to his recent Jiu-Jitsu exploits. However, White said Musk is not new to fighting either.

Dana White reveals Elon Musk’s fighting experience

UFC president Dana White recently made an appearance on ‘The Pat McAfee Show’ to discuss the clash of the tech titans. The 53-year-old was in full promoter mode as he hyped up the fantasy fight that no one saw coming.

During their chat, McAfee mentioned Zuckerberg’s Jiu-Jitsu credentials and asked White about Musk’s fighting experience. The UFC boss replied, “Yeah, well, you know, Zuckerberg takes this very serious man. He’s very into the sport. He trains and has been training for years. Now he’s starting to compete in jiu-jitsu tournaments.”

Speaking of Musk, he said, “And, you know, the talks that I’ve had with Elon [Musk], Elon’s trained in martial arts too. He’s done Jiu-Jitsu, and he says ‘You know, I grew up in South Africa. I’ve been in a lot of fights. it’s not like I haven’t fought before.'”

Finally, White added, “You know, you look at these two tech guys and nobody thinks that they can fight. But they want to. It’s real, and we’ll see how this thing ends up.”

If Dana White can make Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg happen, it will be one of the most unexpected fights to have taken place to date. A battle of the tech billionaires could not have been on many fans’ lists for the fights they wanted to see in 2023.
