What do brain chips, Tesla, and flat earth theories have in common? Sounds dramatic right? Well apparently, this trifecta took center stage as one of UFC’s most outspoken stars, the #13 ranked featherweight, Bryce Mitchell aimed at none other than the wealthiest man on earth, Elon Musk. Known as much for his ‘Thug Nasty’ fashion as his grappling skills, Mitchell didn’t hold back. From trashing Tesla cars to calling Musk a “lying rat,” his fiery comments have left fans laughing and asking questions about the billionaire’s real agenda.

Joining Michael Bisping and Paul Felder on the Believe You Me podcast, Bryce Mitchell didn’t pull any punches when he ripped into Musk’s reputation. “My 73 will run one of those piece of s*** Teslas off the road and crush it like a can of Coke,” he said, championing the raw power of his old school pickup over Musk’s futuristic vehicles.

Don’t get him wrong, he isn’t all against technology, “Of course technology is a great thing I love exactly what we are doing right now. You get to talk to people all over the world.” Hence, Mitchell’s issue wasn’t about the advancement but about Musk using technology to control people.

You make a mean tweet? Elon Musk press the button and either your car flies off the bridge at 200mph or you are locked in it. Or you just can’t start your car, you can’t get it,” Mitchell warned. With how much technology governs our lives, isn’t the idea of losing control over something as essential as your car worth thinking about?

And Mitchell didn’t stop there! Musk’s Neuralink project, designed to connect the human brain to computers, became the next target of his sharp critique.

Why is Bryce Mitchell resisting Elon Musk’s tech advancements?

Do you know why Musk is putting chips in people’s brains? According to Mitchell, it’s not about helping people but about control. “They are gonna monitor everything you buy, everything you sell. It’s gonna put all of the control of the world into the hand of one man.” While Neuralink is often touted as a medical breakthrough, Mitchell’s skepticism brings up a compelling point, At what point is technology designed to help us become a tool to control us?

But let’s put this into perspective, what if Neuralink found its way into sports like MMA? Imagine a fighter using a brain chip to improve reflexes, outthink opponents, or recover faster. Would it be revolutionary or would it turn UFC fights into something closer to science fiction? Mitchell’s takedown of Musk might seem over the top, but his underlying concerns resonate.

Are innovations designed to improve lives? How much of our autonomy are we willing to trade for convenience? While Musk is hailed by many as a visionary, Mitchell’s critique is a reminder of the price of progress. After all, could a world dominated by technology also mean a world where our freedom is dictated by those who create it?

Bryce Mitchell has us thinking, are these creations paving the way for a better future, or are they tools for something bigger? What do you think? Is Mitchell just stirring the pot, or is there some truth behind his exaggerated accusations? Let us know in the comments below!
