The internet makes the strangest things possible. And one of the most bizarre things that it has made possible is a cage fight between two of the most powerful and influential people in the world: Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg. The two have been going back and forth on social media for some time now, taking shots at each other.

Things took a peculiar turn when Musk, in a reply to a tweet, suggested that he would be willing to fight Zuckerberg if the latter would be up for it. The next day, Zuckerberg posted a screenshot of Musk’s reply and added Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s iconic “send me location” as the caption. This only seemed to egg on Musk, who tweeted that he has a special move called “The Walrus”, where he just lies on top of his opponent and does nothing.

Both tech moguls claim to have martial arts experience. Zuckerberg is a white belt in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and even competed in a tournament at a California school recently. Musk, on the other hand, has claimed to have trained in Judo, Kyokushin, and no rules street fighting in the past.

And this paucity of experience and skill is what makes the competition a fair fight. Elon Musk has cultivated a dedicated fan following who loves him dearly. On the other hand, he also has equally vocal detractors and critics. While Zuckerberg does not have an equally devoted fan following, his critics are just as vocal and numerous, if not more.

Elon Musk vs Mark Zuckerberg Fight purse

Being the richest people in the world, Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg is not a fight for money, but for bragging rights and to settle the bad blood between them. UFC boss Dana White, in a recent interview, has said that Mark Zuckerberg vs. Elon Musk’s fight will be the biggest fight in the history of the world, predicting that the fight may bring in up to $1 billion since “literally EVERY EVERYONE will watch”.

White has offered to organize the fight and is all in on the fight. He even has been selling shirts with the caption ‘Zuckerberg vs. Musk’ emblazoned on the front of the UFC merchandise store. Since the two social media moguls are in no need of money, Musk has announced that the money collected from the fight will be donated to charity for veterans.

Elon Musk Vs Mark Zuckerberg Fight location

Elon Musk and Mark Zuckerberg have been in contact with Dana White to make the fight happen and will face each other in Las Vegas. Musk replied to a tweet by a journalist confirming that Mark Zuckerberg is serious about fighting Elon Musk. “Vegas Octagon” Musk replied, confirming that the fight will take place in ‘Sin City’.

In June Musk had tweeted there was “some chance” the fight happens at one of the most iconic venues of the world – The Colosseum in Rome. Italy’s minister of culture had reached out to Zuckerberg to gauge interest in holding the bout at the ancient stadium. But Elon Musk vs. Mark Zuckerberg seems set for Las Vegas.

Elon Musk announces his fight with Zuckerberg to be live-streamed on X

Elon Musk confirmed in a tweet on August 6, 2023, that his fight with Mark Zuckerberg will be live-streamed on X (formerly Twitter) for free. This solves the problem that many fight fans face around the world when they want to see a fight. They either have to pay for streaming services such as ESPN+, DAZN or buy expensive pay-per-views. But Musk and Zuckerberg are kind enough to provide their showdown to fans for free.

The two have also been offered to be trained by two of the greatest MMA fighters in the history of the sport. Former UFC welterweight and middleweight champion Georges St-Pierre had volunteered to train Musk. On the other hand, UFC heavyweight champion Jon Jones has expressed his willingness to train Zuckerberg. While Musk has accepted ‘GSP’s offer, we do not know whether Zuckerberg has accepted Jones’ offer. But he was seen training with middleweight champion Israel Adesanya.
