Tucker Carlson has caused a frenzy online with his recent remarks on the theory of evolution on the Joe Rogan Experience or JRE podcast. The former host of Tucker Carlson Tonight on Fox News was a guest on episode no. 2138 of Rogan’s show and made some bold statements about the validity of Charles Darwin’s theory of the evolution of species.
While the host of the show, Joe Rogan, appeared to push back against Carlson’s claims, the media personality doubled down on his statements and stated “It’s, like, kind of not true.” As such, many voices in the online scientific community came out to slam Carlson’s take on the matter, and surprisingly, Elon Musk also indicated that he might have reached a point of frustration with the dialogue on the issue.

The conversation between Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson was initially focused on AI, with Carlson expressing concerns about its potential dangers to humanity. However, Rogan, who has been a proponent of technological progress, and has hosted important names in the world of AI research and development like OpenAI CEO, Sam Altman on his show, wasn’t on the same page as Carlson.
As such, when Carlson stated that it would be a prudent move to use nuclear weapons to “hit data centers”, the podcast host pushed back by laughing at the idea. However, Carlson pressed further by asking, why Rogan dismissed the idea.
This is where the discussion surrounding evolution began as Rogan responded by stating, “If evolution is real and if there is this constant…” but before he could finish, Carlson interrupted by stating, “Is it real?”
Tucker Carlson misunderstands that in everyday speech, "theory" refers to a hunch or a speculation, but in science, it refers to a comprehensive explanation of nature.
Many scientific theories are so well-established that no new evidence is likely to change them.

While Carlson argued that according to him, ‘adaptation’ is a real phenomenon, evolution isn’t. He claimed, “But there’s no evidence that — in fact, I think we’ve kind of given up on evolution, the theory of evolution as articulated by Darwin. It’s, like, kind of not true… but no, there’s no evidence at all, none, zero, that people evolved seamlessly from a single-cell ameba, no, there’s not”
However, according to a post shared on X in response to the video of Carlson’s statements by a user named ‘eyeslasho’, “Tucker says there’s “zero” evidence for Darwinian evolution and that God directly created people and animals. (Although he weirdly then concedes that adaptation occurs.) He adds that our scientific knowledge is less now than it was centuries ago. Extraordinary.”
Even Elon Musk, known for his involvement in cutting-edge technology, expressed apparent frustration with the dialogue by simply responding with a “sigh”.
But while the denial of the theory of evolution may have led to backlash towards Carlson, Joe Rogan also took the time in the episode to share with him a fascinating theory about a classic JRE topic of discussion, aliens!
Joe Rogan breaks down the theory of alien involvement in human development
While they may have yet to find common ground regarding the Darwinian theory of evolution, both Joe Rogan and Tucker Carlson delved into the topic of aliens possibly having something to do with the matter.
During their recent conversation, the topic of the documentary, ‘Chimp Empire’ was brought up. And Rogan highlighted the fact that chimpanzees behave normally around observing scientists. As such, the podcast host claimed that the chimps view the scientists as part of their environment and exhibit typical behavior in their presence.

Drawing parallels, Rogan suggested that aliens might be observing humans similarly, and stated, “If I was an advanced species, and I was studying people and I wanted the human beings to eventually kind of catch up, right? You’re introducing technology that they call donations, crash vehicles. ‘Figure out what fiber optics are. Here you go, check this out.’”
In conclusion, despite their disagreements on evolution, both Rogan and Carlson explored the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement in human development, adding a fascinating dimension to their conversation.
