One of the biggest stories that broke out after Donald Trump‘s second presidential inauguration ceremony revolved around tech billionaire Elon Musk. While giving his speech at the US Capitol building, the Tesla CEO happened to wave his hand out in enthusiasm, which appeared to many people as a Nazi salute. Well, the tech mogul has finally opened up about the whole fiasco to Joe Rogan, and he couldn’t believe what had happened.

Elon Musk, being a staunch supporter of Trump, claimed to have been overjoyed with the way people responded to the elections and that’s where the controversial hand gesture took shape. Hence, the billionaire was taken aback by the hubbub and the drama that ensued in media circles and on the internet alike.

“It was obviously meant in the most positive spirit possible… Now, I can never point at things diagonally. I can only point at things there and there, and then I say you have to divide that because that’s where the spaceship is, over there. That’s ridiculous,” Musk told Joe Rogan on the #2281 JRE episode.

Having dealt with so many controversies in the past, the South African-born tech juggernaut didn’t hesitate to claim that all the noise was just a big conspiracy. “It’s deliberate propaganda… It was obviously not meant in a negative way. I literally said, ‘My heart goes out to you,’ and it was very positive,” Elon Musk added.

This was in reference to what Musk said immediately after his controversial gesture at the Capital One Arena last month.  “My heart goes out to you. It is thanks to you that the future of civilization is assured. Thanks to you. We’re gonna have safe cities, finally safe cities. Secure borders, sensible spending. Basic stuff. And we’re gonna take ‘Doge’ to Mars.”

Joe Rogan seemed to agree with Musk owing to his own share of controversies in the past. Moreover, the 57-year-old even claimed to have gone through a similar experience to that of the Tesla CEO. Here’s what the UFC color commentator had to say!

Apparently, there are several images of the 57-year-old on the internet where he was seen waving his hand like that of Musk’s recent act while he was hosting UFC events.

Joe Rogan claimed that it was a turbulent time for him when CNN picked up on his images, which looked like he was referencing to the tyrannous symbol of violence and ran with it. But guess what? It didn’t matter much to the 57-year-old, whose world-famous podcast is always under scrutiny. “CNN, when I was in all my trouble, every time CNN used a photo of me, it was one of the photos from the UFC weigh-ins, where I go like this, ‘Welcome to the weigh-ins [performs the salute],” Rogan told Elon Musk. “So every photo was me [laughs]… with [the salute]. It’s so crazy.”
