On 14th April 2022, Billionaire Elon Musk bought the social media platform Twitter and renamed it X. UFC commentator-cum-podcast host Joe Rogan recently came out to support the Tesla CEO’s acquisition of that platform. Not only that, the 56-year-old believes Musk might have done humanity a favor because of that acquisition, prompting the billionaire to issue a response.

Comedian Andrew Schulz appeared as the guest on the #2132 edition of the JRE podcast when he and Joe Rogan talked about the backlash Elon Musk received because of his political point of view. That led the 52-year-old billionaire to share his honest thoughts on Twitter (X).

Andrew Schulz discussed how Elon Musk has become a lot more politically involved with his comments and viewpoints over the last few. Moreover, he also mentioned he found it surprising that people never fail to take a shot at the 52-year-old as a response to his comments. Schulz stated, “It’s really interesting to see how political he’s gotten… And a second he takes a position politically, he’s chastised, shamed, ridiculed.”

Despite what people have to say about Elon Musk, Joe Rogan pointed out that the Tesla CEO doesn’t hold back to clap back at his haters and his critics, which he finds amusing. “The thing is, he snaps back at people, which is crazy. Bro, he dunks on people, which is hilarious,” the JRE host added.

Nevertheless, Rogan claimed that the acquisition of Twitter by Musk has helped people have a sense of free speech, and concluded that the Tesla CEO saved humanity in that aspect. He may have very well saved humanity in some way because by providing this one platform where people can actually speak their mind, up to a point,” Joe Rogan added.

These comments may have seemed interesting to Elon Musk, who decided to respond to the JRE host. Having come under scrutiny multiple times, the Tesla CEO shared his honest thoughts by claiming that the time before he bought Twitter and renamed it X, things were agrestal. “Wild times,” wrote Musk. Rogan also mentioned the importance of speech and how it was curbed for a while.

In many situations, Joe Rogan claimed that people are often silenced by influential figures and organizations when it comes to getting their voices heard. He also stated that people can only sort out problems if take into account other people’s perspectives to create a compelling dialogue. Rogan further said, “The answer to bad speech is not silencing speech. It’s better speech. It’s more compelling.”

Numerous social media platforms often ban people from being very vocal about certain issues. Nevertheless, that all changed when Elon Musk bought Twitter (X) and people found a new place for their opinions to be taken into account, according to Joe Rogan. “There was no place [for people to express themselves freely] before he took over Twitter,” the 56-year-old added.

Elon Musk has come under fire considerable times for certain posts that are found on X. That led to many companies pulling their advertisements from his social media platform. Despite that, Musk continues to operate the same they and never shies away from taking shots at those companies and executives for criticizing his way of doing things. And so far, Musk doesn’t seem to care what others have to say.
