Alexa Grasso pulled off an unexpected win against former flyweight champion Valentina Shevchenko at UFC 285. She defeated ‘Bullet’ with a face-crank submission move in the fourth round of the fight. Moreover, her win has been celebrated by the people of Mexico. They have honored Grasso with a mural.

Alexa Grasso (MMA record of 16 wins and 3 losses) has been fighting under the UFC banner since 2016. She won her first UFC championship last weekend and extended her winning streak to five fights. Grasso ended Shevchenko’s dominant title reign, which started back in 2018. However, ‘Bullet’ has stated that she wants to have a rematch.

After ending one of the most dominant UFC reigns in recent memory, Alexa Grasso found herself painted on a wall by her fans in Mexico as a sign of respect and support for the women’s flyweight champion. Many fans reacted to the 29-year-old’s mural on social media. Even Grasso shared a post regarding her mural on Instagram.

One fan claimed that the Mexican fans had already decided to paint Grasso’s mural in case she won the fight against Shevchenko, which she did.

Another fan claims that Grasso’s mural was one of the better ones compared to the murals of other fighters that fans have seen so far.

Another Twitter commended the Mexican fans for their quick work on the mural.

Another user noticed that the mural was made within 24 hours of Alexa Grasso becoming the UFC champion.

One fan commended the 29-year-old fighter’s performance at UFC 285 by claiming she beat the most unbeatable female fighter currently on the UFC roster.

One fan called Grasso a great role model for others to follow.
