Sean Strickland is at it again! The ever-controversial former middleweight champion has been on the loose recently after his return to the winning column at UFC 302. In his latest escapade, the Las Vegas, Nevada native has accused both the UFC and the BKFC promotions of not paying enough to their fighters. Well, this is not the first time that Strickland has attacked Dana White or the promotion over fighter pay, but his latest attack on all promoters showcased a new Strickland.

‘Tarzan’ has always had a beef with the promotion due to their payment clauses. He believes that the fighters are getting paid way less than what they should be paid. Up until now, Strickland restricted his comments to his domain of MMA but his recent comments saw a direct attack on all corporates. Let us have a look at it.

It all started when ex-UFC star Mike Perry, who has made a name for himself in the BKFC called out and said that his promotion pays better money to their fighters on average than their UFC counterparts.“Sean Strickland, he is fighting for the UFC for pesos and I’m getting paid over here. He is always posting on Instagram, where he walks outside of his garage and his front door, somebody is in his driveway and he’s like trying to fight a bare-knuckle for free right there. So, what are you talking about Sean?” said Mike Perry.

His comments were taken a bit seriously by the former middleweight champ, Sean Strickland who doubled down on Mike Perry’s words but attacked both promotions for hypocrisy. Perry’s response was shared on Instagram and Strickland took this opportunity to call out both promotions. “UFC pay is utter garbage lol they are signing guys at 10/10 that should be criminal but the vast majority of BKFC fighters are getting paid way less than that As a UFC fighter I advocate for better pay for me and the entire rooster…you should do the same for your guys,” wrote Strickland.

He further added, “While I’m on my Soapbox from a poor man who became kinda a rich man once you have capital it just snow balls. These elites could probably never take a paycheck again and easily make 500k a year. yet they still line their bank accounts with millions that they could never need or spend. In all industries”

UFC has been at a crossroads recently due to its payment issues. This is the reason why more than 1000 ex-fighters filed an anti-trust lawsuit against the promotion for better pay. Francis Ngannou was the first big name in the promotion who left the UFC due to its stringent payment clauses and his removal started a wildfire in the UFC as many current fighters are calling out Dana White about the issue as well. Additionally, this is not the first time when Strickland called out the UFC.

‘Tarzan’ brutally attacks the UFC

The payment issue has always been a point of discussion in the promotion. To break it down, the low-level fighters of the promotions are basically paid in peanuts in compression to the stars. Strickland has always been judgemental about this fact.  The former champion believes that the promotion should at least pay the newcomers better money as the camps are expensive.
