ATT coach Mike Brown recently sat down for an interview with MyMMANews recently. The former UFC fighter is always in the corner of Dustin Poirier. Brown revealed big news about the future of the former interim UFC lightweight champion.
Fans have been speculating about what’s next for ‘The Diamond’ inside the Octagon. Many believe he should fight for the undisputed title against Charles Oliveira next. Also, there have been rumors of a potential banger against Nate Diaz next. Brown said that their primary target is to fight Oliveira next. However, a fight against Diaz could very well be on the cards for the Louisiana native.

“I’m assuming the title will probably be next. Who knows, I see there’s some talks maybe potentially Nate Diaz fight. I’m sure that would do giant numbers. They were scheduled to fight before, it kind of fell through,” said Brown.
“But that would be monster. Something everybody would want to see. Maybe they could do it at welterweight, nobody’s got to cut weight, kind of a fun fight for the fans. But I think probably first, business is winning the undisputed lightweight title,” he added.
He also predicted how a fight with Oliveira will go. As always, Brown believes Poirier will deliver an entertaining scrap. But he foresees a finish against the Brazilian for Poirier when they eventually fight.

Poirier got ahead 2-1 in his trilogy clash against Conor McGregor after the Irishman suffered a freak leg break. A fourth fight has been teased since by the fans, as many believe the ending was anti-climactic at UFC 264. Brown is open to the idea.
“Who knows, right? It’s all about entertainment, what people want to see, money talks. But I mean, he’s gonna be out for a while so I don’t anticipate it anytime soon and I think there’s some other things that Dustin wants to take care of first. I would never say never to anything, but I don’t see it in the near future,” Mike Brown added further.
