In the surfaced series of tweets, two fighters, instead of waiting for their determined fateful place, took the fight backstage. As the fight intensified, the ‘Gamebred’ approached the fighters with his ‘money’ talk.

How did the fans react to Jorge Masvidal playing peacemaker?

The American fighter, as he broke the fight, shared some words of wisdom and advised them to wait for their Octagon encounter.

Thus, the BMF title holder said, “You don’t get paid to fight now. Get your money tomorrow. Get your f***ing money tomorrow. You don’t get paid to fight anybody right now. Stop. Stop. Make money tomorrow… People here watching you fight tomorrow. Fight tomorrow.”

However, the fans found it hard to take the Miami-born fighter’s advice, given his own checkered history with backstage brawls.

Subsequently, one user labeled it ironic.

A fan pointed out, “Dude sucker punch 2 different ufc fighters🥴 what he talking about😂😂”

On a similar note, someone replied, “Says the dude that snuck Colby lmfaooo”

Another user explained the rationale behind the MMA fighter’s comments.

Interestingly, the fans could hear someone from the crowd shouting ‘Street Jesus’ while referring to Masvidal. Therefore, one user picked that up and commented, “And Street Jesus said unto us…”

Notably, the 38-year-old fighter had two notorious backstage encounters. One with the current champion, Leon Edwards, and the other with his former training partner, Colby Covington.

Jorge Masvidal’s backstage brawls

During the post-UFC Fight Night 147 conference, Leon Edwards interrupted Masvidal’s interview as he came off an impressive knockout win against Darren Till. He thus felt the need to confront the now-UFC champion, Leon Edwards.

However, the encounter ended with the American Top Team product throwing a three-punch combo at the British fighter. Further, it left him with a cut on his face and the need for medical aid.

Notably, the second such encounter happened allegedly took place outside a restaurant involving Colby Covington. Subsequently, both the fighters who once trained together got involved in an altercation, therefore attracting Masvidal with felony charges.

Besides, both the fighters had fought in the same month earlier at UFC 272. But ‘Chaos’ reigned supreme in their fateful bout.
