Drake's $45M loss on Adesanya—Is this the biggest betting blunder in UFC history?

Drake’s ‘curse’ continues as he lost another massive bet today, and Dricus Du Plessis won the fight! The rapper had placed a whopping $450,000 bet on the match and on Israel Adesanya to win back his middleweight belt from the reigning champ. Unfortunately for them, Du Plessis is still sitting on the throne and he even posted after winning! Drake would’ve walked away with $855,000 if ‘The Last Stylebender’ beat Du Plessis. However, there was a submission loss and the whole octagon was roaring with excitement.

DDP decided to thank the famous rapper and posted on X saying, “From the bottom of my heart once again THANK YOU @Drake” Adesanya was on the ground for round 4 and then DDP unleashed his strikes on his opponent. He secured the takedown and then ended the match with a rear naked choke. Drake had shared an Instagram post saying, “Always with Izzy,” before the tournament had started, however, things backfired!

Izzy’s parents took his apology and his warmth with open arms and showed their love to DDP as well. even Adesanya was speaking to Du Plessis’ coach behind the same video. Now the place seems clear for Sean Strickland and Du Plessis rematch as he is the latter is the reigning champ. However, even Robert Whittaker is in the scene and he is facing Khamzat Chimaev at UFC 308.

This could mean either Strickland fighting Du Plessis or the winner of Whittaker vs Chimaev. Who do you think DDP is going to fight next? tell us in  the comments below.
