UFC 287 is just a few hours away and the MMA world is excited. The event promises some great match-ups, including the Israel Adesanya vs Alex Pereira rematch and what can well be ‘The Gamebred’s last fight in the UFC. The big fights have naturally attracted big money stakes in the fight. NFL star Brandon Marshall put his money behind Israel Adesanya for the big fight. Rap giant Drake too shared his stakes on an Instagram post. He was backing Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal to win their respective fights.

Israel Adesanya goes into the fight as a slight favorite over Alex Pereira. Pereira, however, has never lost to Adesanya and will like to keep his record intact. Adesanya, on the other hand, is desperate to register his first win against the ‘Poatan’. It appears that both Marshall and Drake believed Adesanya had it in him to grab a victory against his arch-rival this time.
Drake puts big money on Adesanya’s Victory
While NFL star Brandon Marshall assured that he was riding with Adesanya with $100k stakes, Drake had a lot more to put on the line for Israel Adesanya and Jorge Masvidal.

The enormous amounts expecting an Israel Adesanya win will keep his fans hopeful, but Alex Pereira is not somebody to be counted out so easily. The fighter who currently reigns the UFC middleweight division is known for his grit and determination. He will not make it easy for Adesanya and will fight for claiming bragging rights with all his might. The co-main event holds huge implications for one fighter.
Fans may see Jorge Masvidal for the last time in the UFC
Seasoned professional Jorge Masvidal has had a long career in the UFC. ‘Gamebred’ has faced some torrid times in the recent past, though. Masvidal had to suffer two consecutive losses against Kamaru Usman and then lost to Colby Covington in his most recent fight. Covington defeated Masvidal at UFC 272 in March last year by a unanimous decision.

The string of losses has made Masvidal consider retirement. Going into UFC 287, Masvidal claimed that he will fight again in the UFC if he loses against Gilbert Burns. Thus the magnitude of the fight has grown and Masvidal wins are desperately hoping to see him win. Drake would love Israel Adesanya and Masvidal to win for sure. After all, it will give him a lot of reasons to celebrate. Who would you be supporting? Let us know.
