The beef between Colby Covington and Ian Garry has been going on for quite a while and it has heightened with time. Not only were the two going off against each other on social media, but Covington even targeted Garry’s wife, Layla, and spewed insults at her. Covington made some very questionable remarks about Garry’s wife and this irked ‘The Future.’ Even Layla did not take the comments lightly and took to her social media handle to give it back to Covington. 

Meanwhile, Garry again defended his wife in the latest interview as he highlighted her achievements over the years. 

The Future reveals that Layla is much more than just Ian Garry’s wife

Rather than targeting Garry, ‘Chaos’ primarily chose to talk about his wife Layla Machado Garry by listing contract stipulations. “Obviously, Layla wears the pants in this relationship. Ian’s a little kid. She’s the one that’s running his social media she’s the one that her lawyer is running his whole life,” Covington had said while speaking to Submission Video.

Speaking about the comments made by the 36-year-old, Ian Garry showed his loyalty and respect towards his wife and talked about her hard work and zeal. ‘The Future,’ told talkSPORT MMA, “Me and my family have gotten stronger, because of all of this. I pull my wife closer, she means everything in the world to me. She is the single most intelligent person I know….I respect her so much and I value her opinion in anything that we do…. They do not know what my wife has done in her life and her career. They do not know how incredible my wife has worked.”

He mentioned how people talk about his wife, maybe because of their huge age gap. However, Garry mentioned how she is an extremely successful anchor and presenter and she has interviewed legends like Lionel Messi. The athlete even claimed that Layla hosted the London Olympics and has her own set of huge achievements, but MMA fans still point her out to be a “gold digger” or just “Ian Garry’s wife”. “We go to bed at night knowing that we are good people,” the 26-year-old concluded.

Layla, who is a famous TV presenter, also came in to defend Garry and uploaded an Instagram video two months back.

The 41-year-old came onto her social media and uploaded a video about the controversy regarding the name ‘Machado’ that she took from her husband. The famous anchor started by speaking about the UFC 298 conference where she heard an MMA fan shout obscene things about her while they did not know she was present in the arena. She also mentioned Sean Strickland and Colby Covington’s insults and jibes at her and her husband.

Layla cleared all doubts that Covington started about Garry’s middle name being her ex-husband’s surname. She mentioned that Machado was her maiden name, and they decided to add this name together during their wedding. She not only cleared the misconceptions but also bashed Covington for insulting both her and Ian Garry.
