“Don’t Show This to Dariush”- Fans Left Wondering if Horse Racing Got Charles Oliveira Injured After Video Resurfaces

Charles Oliveira fighting Beneil Dariush at UFC 288, was an exciting prospect for the MMA world. Oliveira, however, pulled out of the fight citing injuries he picked up while wrestling. While Beneil Dariush felt the hardest pinch after ‘Do Bronx’ pulled out, fans too were left wanting. A recent video that surfaced on Instagram has taken fans by surprise now. Oliveira was seen racing a horse chariot. While fans had some hilarious takes on the video. Other fans pointed out how the video might be old and the horse race was not the reason for Oliveira not fighting at UFC 288.

In the video, Oliveira was seen in a 1 on 1 race with another rider. The chariots had one horse driving the chariot for each participant. It appeared that the horses had to maintain a canter and were not supposed to be sprinting. Oliveira won the race and bumped fists with his opponent. Fans had a lot to say about the video.

Fans blame horse racing for Oliveira pulling out of UFC 288

Fans were miffed after Oliveira pulled out of UFC 288. It showed in the comments that came on the Instagram Video. A fan commented, “Don’t anyone show this to Dariush. Feel so bad for him”. A fan also blamed the race for Beneil Dariush not being able to fight ‘Do Bronx’. He commented, “Oh nice now I can see why the Dariush fight was cancelled…”

Another fan had a witty take on the video. The comment read, “He’s gotta quit HORSING around before these fight weeks”. A fan suggested, “Makhachev vs Oliveira 2 competing at Horse Riding would be dope”. Fans also pointed out how Oliveira loved horses and mentioned, “The horse tattoo’s and all the edits make sense”. Some fans, however, claimed that the video was old and praised Oliveira for his “side quests”. The comment read, “No better to way to boost that bank account than completing side quests”. A fan claimed the video was from 2021 and said, “Calm down guys, video is from July 2021..”

Oliveira reveals the reason behind pulling out of UFC 288

‘Do Bronx’ was having a great run in the UFC before UFC 280. The loss against the Lightweight champion Islam Makhachev broke his 11-fight winning streak. Oliveira himself would be very keen to get back to winning ways. The opportunity, however, has passed for now.

Charles Oliveira explained the reasons behind his opting out of the fight. He said that he tried training for the fight but was left with no option after an injury he sustained during wrestling training. Beneil Dariush is certainly disappointed after Oliveira pulled out.
