Recently, the former UFC lightweight champion put out his list of the Top 15 MMA GOATs, and unsurprisingly, it didn’t include McGregor. Following this, ‘The Notorious’ took to Twitter to express his interpretation of what matters at the end of the day in this ‘MMA GOAT’ debate and it is one interesting take on this subject matter.

Conor McGregor mandates longevity in the GOAT debate

Khabib Nurmagomedov recently took to Twitter to name the greatest MMA fighters of all time with a Top 15 list, which he expanded to 20 names owing to ties at some spots. However, despite the additional names, Conor McGregor‘s name was nowhere to be seen.

Following Khabib’s list, the former double champ put out a tweet expressing his take on the subject. In the since-deleted tweet, the 34-year-old wrote, “In the end, it’s who’s left, don’t forget. God bless Tidl Sport Science @tidlsport @Target.”

As of now, Khabib has retired from the sport completely and has even put down coaching. On the other hand, ‘The Notorious’ is on the verge of making his highly anticipated comeback soon.

Will ‘The Notorious’ fight this year?

Conor McGregor recently wrapped up filming for the 31st season of ‘The Ultimate Fighter,’ where he will be seen donning the coach’s hat for the second time since 2015. He will be leading a pack of UFC hopefuls against the team of Michael Chandler, who is also his comeback opponent. The two are scheduled to square off in a pay-per-view event later this year, but the plan has faced some hurdles due to the tiff between McGregor and USADA.

However, recently, ‘The Notorious’ teased the fans with an exciting update on his return. Fight fans around the world could perhaps see him fight this year as planned, and the arena will echo Conor McGregor’s name after a long time. The MMA world is waiting with bated breath to witness the return of the ‘Mystic Mac’.
