With an impressive win over Aljamain Sterling, the newly crowned bantamweight champion Sean O’Malley has reached new star power. Already considered a star by many, O’Malley’s stock has undoubtedly doubled with a second-round TKO victory over Sterling. Adding to the hype, the fighter even called out the only person he had previously lost to.
Calling out Marlon Vera to settle his loss in the rematch, O’Malley, after a boxing-heavy win, also called out Gervonta Davis, an American professional boxer. The boxer has held multiple world championships in three weight classes. However, O’Malley’s move didn’t sit well with the fans and people in the boxing community.
The fighter even received a response from Ryan Garcia, who is ranked as the boxing’s best active lightweight. This move from Garcia prompted O’Malley to respond to the boxer.
