It appears that even 2 opponents aren’t enough to stand up to the ridiculous power of Eddie Hall, the former ‘World’s Strongest Man’! ‘The Beast’ made his debut in MMA when he took on ‘The Neffati Brothers’ in a bizarre 2 vs. 1 contest that was held in Blackburn on June 7.  Hall made a name for himself as an elite strongman competitor as he won the UK’s ‘Strongest Man’ title a staggering 6 times before finally reaching the top of the mountain when he secured the ‘World’s Strongest Man’ title in 2017.

Hall later retired from strongman competitions and made a foray into combat sports when he took on fellow strongman, Hafthor Bjornsson, in a boxing match that was billed as ‘The Heaviest Boxing Match in History’ in 2022. Even though he lost the bout to ‘The Mountain’, Hall continued his journey into the world of combat sports as he also shared a video of himself training with UFC interim heavyweight champion, Tom Aspinall, on his YouTube channel.

But for his MMA debut, Hall took on a unique challenge as he faced The Neffatti brothers, Jamel and Jamil, in a ‘freak’ 2v1 fight. ‘The Beast’ weighed in at an eye-popping 367 lbs for this fight, much higher than the UFC’s 265 lbs weight limit for heavyweight fighters. Meanwhile, his opponents came in with a combined weight of 291 pounds. But even that wasn’t enough, as they were in for a rude awakening when the doors of the cage were shut behind them.

Despite a slow start that saw the brothers trying to evade Hall with their quickness, the British powerhouse found his chance in the third round and delivered a spectacular sequence for the fans watching. Defending a single-leg takedown, Hall slammed the brother in a WWE-esque move before unleashing a thunderous right hook that sent his opponent to the ‘shadow realm’ and forced the referee to stop the bout.

The video has since gone viral on the internet and it’s not just the fans who were left stunned at what transpired, but professional fighters as well! Here’s a look at what the community had to say about ‘The Beast’s performance!

Fans and professional fighters left in shock at Eddie Hall’s MMA debut performance

Micael Galvao, a Brazilian black belt BJJ competitor, took to the comments to claim that Hall’s knockout of the brother attempting a takedown resembled a crime scene: “Attempted murder 2 against that guy”

Meanwhile, Nicky Rod, the 2022 ADCC silver medalist grappler, simply responded with a pair of emojis to indicate his shock at what happened in the cage: 😮😮

A fan also took this opportunity to remind the community why MMA is separated by weight class as the physical capabilities of a heavyweight vs a bantamweight would result in exactly what happened to Hall’s opponent.

“This is for those mma kids who think size doesn’t matter. There is a reason the sport is separated by weight class.”

However, there was also criticism leveled against the ‘freak fight’ as another fan claimed that the fight could be perceived as “disrespectful” towards the sport of MMA and wanted to see Hall take on a top heavyweight fighter instead.

“The two brothers fighting aren’t even fighters they are influencers. Please don’t disrespect MMA. Let a top heavyweight fight him and watch what happens. Or even two top 45ers”

But others were just in awe of Hall’s sheer size and power as they tried to imagine what would happen if a Viking raider the size of ‘The Beast’ would have been around “back in the day”.

“Imagine running into a Viking this size back in the day”

UFC fighter and BJJ expert Ryan Hall also caught a stray as one fan humorously claimed that they would tell their “kids” that it was him who got knocked out by ‘The Beast’

“I’m going to tell me kids this was Ryan Hall”

Another interesting proposition was brought up by a fan who wanted to see former UFC flyweight champion, Demeterious Johnson taking on Eddie Hall. But with Johnson’s skills and a recent video of taking on an opponent much larger than himself in a BJJ competition, it would seem that Hall would have a more difficult time dealing with the former champion than a pair of influencers.

“Get Mighty Mouse on him I genuinely want to see how that goes”

One fan just simply stated that no matter how hard you train, if your opponent can literally toss you around like a “small child” then it’s going to be a bad night for you inside the cage

“It’s hard to train for a 400 lb guy picking you up and throwing you like a small child across a swimming pool.”

In conclusion, Eddie Hall’s MMA debut against The Neffati Brothers proved to be a spectacle of raw power and dominance that has left professionals and fans alike, in awe of ‘The Beast’.
