Could a Trump appearance on Joe Rogan's podcast change the dynamics of the 2024 elections?

Donald Trump knows how to make an impact. And that penchant for the dramatic was nowhere more apparent as he returned to Butler, Pennsylvania, the site of his assassination attempt three months ago. The Republican presidential candidate made quite a stir by opening the proceedings with the words “As I was saying,” to rapturous applause and cheers from the crowd.

The former POTUS, of course, was referencing the fact that he never got to finish his speech the last time around and wanted to make it seem that he was picking up from where he left off on that fateful day. Not literally, of course, but for rhetorical effect. Even Elon Musk, who is an ardent Trump supporter was present at the rally and jumped on stage to cheer on Trump.

Joe Rogan, who has been adamant about not having Trump on his podcast, couldn’t help but be impressed by Trump’s rhetorical flourish. After all, the UFC commentator had shared Trump’s defiant, fist-in-the-air moment seconds after the attempt on his life and profusely praised the New Yorker for his reaction.

Since Trump couldn’t finish his speech the last time around, one fan filled in the gap for any X users who didn’t get what Trump was going for by observing: “He was rudely interrupted last time.” Of course, Trump and Rogan’s supporters think that the voice of the UFC is on the cusp of having Trump on his podcast, which has topped global charts in viewership in the English category. This will in turn give Trump a huge platform to talk to millions of potential voters: Rogans got something brewing up I can feel it.”

There is a group of people who feel that while Rogan may not have explicitly come out and said it, his actions since Trump’s assassination attempt have all but endorsed the former President in the upcoming elections, as one fan pointed out, not forgetting to pester Rogan to have Trump on: “An unofficial endorsement?? Lol. At least have him on your show. It’ll be great!”

Trump supporters are well aware of the size and impact of his platform. In addition, many die-hard fans even think the stakes are existential in the 2024 elections, which is why one common sentiment found in Rogan’s X post was that he should have Trump on JRE to help him out as this comment demonstrates: “Joe, you live in this country just like we do you, And you know what’s going on, you have to bring him to your show.”

One fan, for example, framed this as a question, asking “Time for an interview of the ages?” Another fan, however, was more pushy and outright told Rogan to “Get this man on your pod, Joe! It’s about DAMN time!!”
