The President of the UFC and Dana White’s close friend Donald Trump just made his appearance at UFC 309. It was earlier reported that Trump would be making his first public appearance at the mega event since winning the 2024 elections; however, many thought it would not happen. However, the President lived up to his words and arrived at Madison Square Garden as a guest of honor to see this great card that will have the duel between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic as its main course.

Trump is a great lover of mixed martial arts, and over time he has built a great relationship with UFC president Dana White. Due to his passion for sports, he strives to attend events whenever his schedule permits. Today was one such day, and it truly excited the MSG crowd, as even Joe Rogan couldn’t help but praise the crowd pop the Republican got. Rogan said, “It is so loud. It is so loud. It’s always loud when he comes here, but now that he has won, now that he’s the President again… oh my God!”

While Trump could’ve had a simple entrance and directly walked to his seat, the president decided to bust out some dance moves and also did some sort of victory lap that commentator Jon Anik noticed. “So, Donald Trump, making the way to watch the UFC, which he absolutely loves. For logical reasons, showing himself in public, being friendly, and being close to the fans is a great strategy for politicians. However, in this case, there is no background beyond the fact that Donald Trump is a fan of the UFC and its fights. If you add to that the fact that this Saturday, November 16th, the main fight at UFC 309 will have Jon Jones in action against Stipe Miocic and that the co-main event will pit Charles Oliveira against Michael Chandler, it is a fight that any MMA fan does not want to miss.

Despite his status as president, Trump is no exception, and that is why he came to witness an evening that promises to be unforgettable. Fans surely loved this appearance, as they couldn’t help but share their reactions on social media after seeing the president become a part of a UFC show in his very first public appearance.

As soon as Donald Trump entered the arena, fans couldn’t help but praise how the Republican President made his way to his seats. Followed by an entourage made up of his guards and Dana White, it looked like Trump was having a walkout just like his fans and might actually get into a match. Many also couldn’t help but notice that fans truly love it when Trump makes his appearance in the UFC. Even in his previous appearances in events such as UFC 223, UFC 202, and UFC 229, he received the best fan reaction as the public cheered for the iconic guest of honor.
