Jon Jones has shown his prowess in the octagon time and time again. So much so that UFC head honcho Dana White dubbed him as the best pound-for-pound fighter. He might have been on a hiatus for a long time and could not fight Stipe Miocic for their first match due to an injury, but he came back and showed why he was the best heavyweight. He defeated Miocic At UFC 309 after going through a layoff as well as some legal controversies.
Now that he has shown why he is one of the best in the UFC, Jones is ready to show his skills as an actor! Yes, you heard that right. If you thought that the Netflix series La Cage (The Cage in English), starring French actor Melvin Boomer, was the start and finish of Bones‘ acting career, then you were wrong. He recently uploaded an Instagram post of some snippets from an unnamed action movie, where he was dressed up as a soldier.
Jones captioned the post writing, “Man, what a humbling experience. Stepping into acting feels like a whole new game, and I’m ready to put in the work, just like I always have. I’m honored, I’m motivated, and I’m excited for what’s ahead. This is only the beginning. The grind doesn’t stop—let’s keep building something special. The future’s looking real bright.”

However, it seems like fans have some mixed reactions to it because they have still not forgotten that he is ducking Tom Aspinall. The interim heavyweight champion has been waiting for a fight against Jones, but it seems like the latter is not interested.

Jon Jones first showed his acting skills in the Netflix series The Cage, where he played himself resembling a Rocky Balboa figure to Adonis Creed. He embarks on a journey to mentor a young, aspiring MMA fighter named Tyler (Melvin Boomer), who seeks to etch out a legacy in the French MMA circuit. So he’s not unfamiliar with the domain of light-camera-and-action.
On the same note, a fan mentioned the viral meme about GTA6 that has still not been released. They said, “We got Jonny Bones the actor before GTA 6.” Another follower took a jibe at the fact that he was not taking up a fight against Tom Aspinall and wrote, “Bro enlisted into the army to duck aspinal.”
‘Honey Badger‘ had been eagerly waiting to fight ‘Bones‘ after winning his interim heavyweight title. However, the 28-fight winner was not interested in fighting the Brit. Nevertheless, now it seems like the tables have turned because Dana White talked about this after UFC Tampa. “100 percent,” White said when he was asked if the heavyweight unification episode would happen in 2025. “I think it’s probably the biggest fight in heavyweight history and it’s a massive fight in the history of the company, too. It’s a big fight.”

Another follower was impressed by his acting debut and said, “Johnny Bones Jones in a Movie… I’m all for it will literally be the reason I watch,” while one follower chimed in, “Wow! I am totally seeing this film.” An avid fan of ‘Bones’ went so far as to select him as the next president and said, “Bro. Bones for President already.” Did you expect the heavyweight phenom to dabble into acting? What are your thoughts on this?
